Archbishop Viganò: Is Pope Francis Preparing Us To Accept The Antichrist?

December 23, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò (left), in a new interview with LifeSite, comments on LifeSite’s report that since the first coronavirus lockdown in March, Pope Francis is not anymore using the papal altar in St. Peter’s Basilica for his public Masses, an altar which is situated on top of St. Peter’s tomb. Instead, the Pope is using another altar at the basilica. For Viganò, this papal act is symbolic in light of the fact that Pope Francis himself ordered during the closing Mass of the October 2019 Amazon Synod that a bowl of plants dedicated to the false goddess Pachamama be placed on that very papal altar at St. Peter’s. Not long after that act, the Pope also decided that he would no longer use the title “Vicar of Christ” in the 2020 Vatican Yearbook.

The Italian prelate here finds strong words about the recent developments at St. Peter’s and the Vatican.

“In my opinion,” Viganò writes, “what we are witnessing represents the general rehearsal for the establishment of the kingdom of the Antichrist, which will be preceded by the preaching of the False Prophet, the Precursor of the one who will carry out the final persecution against the Church before Our Lord’s definitive and crushing victory.”

The Italian prelate compares the placing of a Pachamama bowl on the altar with the enthronement of the “Goddess Reason” at Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral during the Terror of the French Revolution in 1793. However, he explains, this time, the profanation of an altar came from within, committed by the highest levels of the hierarchy. “The Bergoglian church is giving itself an increasingly more disconcerting image, in which the negation of Catholic truths is accompanied by the explicit affirmation of an intrinsically anti-Catholic and antichristic ideology, in which the idolatrous cult of pagan divinities – that is, of demons – is no longer hidden, who are propitiated with sacrilegious acts and profanations of holy things.”

Pagan Ceremony in Vatican at opening of the Amazon Synod

He goes on to say that this “presence of an idol of ‘mother earth’ is a direct offense against God and the Most Holy Virgin” and “a tangible sign that explains in a certain sense Bergoglio’s many irreverent utterances with regard to the Blessed Mother.”

Here, the Italian archbishop sees a link to the warnings of Our Lady of Salette from the 19th century. For him it is not surprising “that those who want to demolish the Church of Christ and the Roman Papacy do so from the highest Throne, according to the prophecy of Our Lady at La Salette: ‘Rome will lose the Faith and will become the seat of the Antichrist.’”

Hideous nativity scene in Vatican, 2020

Commenting on the fact that Pope Francis removed from his entry in the 2020 Vatican Yearbook the title “Vicar of Christ” – he merely placed it at the end of his entry, under “historic titles” – Viganò states that “whoever refuses to be called Vicar of Christ apparently has the perception that this title does not suit him, or even looks with contempt at the possibility of being the Vicar of the One whom by his words and actions Bergoglio shows that he does not wish to recognize and adore as God.”

All these papal acts taken together are seen by Archbishop Viganò as a development toward apostasy and sacrilege, that is, demon worship. And for him, this development has its beginning at the Second Vatican Council. “I believe,” he explains, “that the premises that have been laid down up to this point – which in good part go back to Vatican II, but also to later events such as the Interreligious Prayer Meeting in Assisi – will inexorably lead in an ever more explicit way towards a ‘profession of apostasy’ by the leaders of the Bergoglian church.”

But Archbishop Viganò also gives us encouragement and strength. He recalls that “the Church does not belong to the Pope, and even less does she belong to a clique of heretics and fornicators that has succeeded in coming to power by deception and fraud.” He continues, by saying:

Therefore, we ought to unite our supernatural faith in the constant action of God in the midst of His people with a work of resistance, as counseled by the Fathers of the Church: Catholics have the duty of opposing the infidelity of their Shepherds, because the obedience that they owe them is aimed at the glory of God and the salvation of souls. We therefore denounce everything that represents a betrayal of the mission of the Shepherds, imploring the Lord to shorten these times of trial. And if one day we are told by Bergoglio that, in order to remain in communion with him, we must perform an act that offends God, we will have further confirmation that he is an impostor, and that as such he has no authority.

It is the archbishop’s hope that this crisis in the Church will open the eyes of many a lukewarm Catholic. He hopes that it will “permit us to see that where Christ the King does not reign, the tyranny of Satan is inevitably established; where Grace does not reign, sin and vice spread; where the Truth is not loved, people end up embracing error and heresy.” Perhaps, he hopes, this crisis will make many people who have difficulty adoring God realize “perhaps they can now understand that without God our life becomes hell.”

Archbishop Viganò concludes this interview with the hopeful words: “And let us pray that we will see the day on which a Pope will return to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice on the Altar of the Confession of Saint Peter, in the rite that Our Lord taught the Apostles and that they handed down intact through the centuries. This will also be a symbol of the restoration of the Papacy and of the Church of Christ.”  Source – Lifesitenews…

A bowl with symbols and flowers associated with the demon Pachamama was placed, at the explicit direction of Francis, on the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica, at the offertory during the closing (of the Amazon Synod) Mass.

Vatican “Nativity Scene” A Monstrosity – An Image of the Church Under Francis…

Nativity scene from Saint Peter’s Square

ROME — The Vatican uncovered its 2020 manger scene in Saint Peter’s Square Friday, leaving onlookers scattered, scandalized, and scornful.

Observers shoveled abuse upon the unfortunate spectacle, rivaling each other to come up with the most appropriate epithets to describe the appalling scene.

“Mummified Mary,” “Weeble Jesus” (after the ovate children’s toys launched by Hasbro in the 1970s), “Martians,” “toilet paper rolls,” and “astronauts” were some of the comparisons made to the cylindrical figures meant to represent the Holy Family, the Magi, and the shepherds at Bethlehem.

Others saw in one ominous figure the helmeted image of “the Mountain” from the Game of Thrones television series, while another conjured up memories of the Robot from Lost in Space:

As one irate Italian wrote on social media of the Vatican manger scene, “Ugliness is the first thing you notice, followed by a lack of familial warmth and the distancing guaranteed by the cylindrical figures. If you wish to judge harshly, the cylinders call to mind the sacred poles of Satanic cults condemned in the Bible.”

Traditionally, a manger scene is intended to evoke feelings of piety and devotion — not pity and revulsion — over the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, and thus this particularly regrettable work offends not only aesthetic sensibilities, but also the religious reverence of the faithful.

The Vatican said the Nativity scene exhibited in St. Peter’s Square was created by the students and faculty of the FA Grue Art Institute, a state-run high school for design, which in the decade of 1965-1975 devoted its scholastic activity to the theme of Christmas.

“We believe that this year’s experience of a Nativity scene donated by an Artistic High School is really a powerful summons for everyone to invest more in the training of the new generations both at the level of middle and high schools and for the university world,” said Bishop Lorenzo Leuzzi in a statement guaranteed to garner broad consensus.

Elizabeth Lev, an American art historian living and teaching in Rome, told Breitbart News she thinks the choice was a poor one: “The Nativity celebrates the Incarnation, God who comes into the world as flesh, not in a totemic form,” Dr. Lev declared. “At the end of this extremely difficult year people are looking for beauty, for something to elevate, inspire, and unite them, and the scene offered in Saint Peter’s Square gives them something else altogether.”

“The misshapen figures in the Nativity scene lack all the grace, proportion, vulnerability, and luminosity that one looks for in the manger scene,” she said. “The entire point of this holiday is the second person of the Holy Trinity taking human form, born as a baby of flesh and blood, and there is nothing particularly human about the forms we see before us.”

“Context is also important and these works are surrounded by Bernini’s majestic colonnade, capped with the monumental figures of the saints, with Saint Peter’s Basilica in the background containing a thousand years of beautiful statuary,” Lev continued.

“It has been a dark year and many have had their faith challenged. Perhaps it would have been better to give them a symbol to rally round rather than an object of mockery,” she said. “This scene leads people to heap derision upon an icon representing the Holy Family. It is unfortunate we couldn’t find something to inspire at least tenderness if not full-on reverence.”

Moreover, Lev concluded, “In the context of last year’s polemics over the Pachamama statue, it seems ill considered to use images that will confuse people and further a sense of division.”    Source

Comment:

This latest scandal from Rome – the hideous, to put it mildly, “nativity scene” in St Peter’s Square, is a metaphor for the state of the Church today, under this horrendous pope.   I’m not a trained artist, of course, so maybe I’m missing something but I can see nothing beautiful or uplifting about this disgraceful “nativity scene” – can  you?  “Blasphemous” springs to mind. I see it as a monstrosity, ugly. Prove me wrong…

Francis: Worst Pope in History, Bar None!

.-

In a documentary that premiered Wednesday in Rome, Pope Francis called for the passage of civil union laws for same-sex couples, departing from the position of the Vatican’s doctrinal office and the pope’s predecessors on the issue.

The remarks came amid a portion of the documentary that reflected on pastoral care for those who identify as LGBT.

“Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it,” Pope Francis said in the film, of his approach to pastoral care.

After those remarks, and in comments likely to spark controversy among Catholics, Pope Francis weighed in directly on the issue of civil unions for same-sex couples.

“What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered,” the pope said. “I stood up for that.”     To read entire report, click here

Comment:

I cannot think of a single thing to say about this pontiff that would be legal.  Surely there are members of the hierarchy, somewhere, some cardinal on the loose, who realises something has GOT to be done about Francis? And do you agree that he is the worst ever pope in the history of the Church?

Vatican Prohibits Confession For Those Intending Euthanasia/Assisted Suicide…

The Vatican asks to clarify the cultural error at the root of euthanasia and assisted suicide, in other words, the concept of “dignified death” and so-called “compassion”.

It does so in this new document titled “The Good Samaritan.” It was published by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

The text is very positive. It states that every medical act must be aimed toward healing, never toward killing the patient. It says that a deterioration in a person’s health does not equal a loss of human dignity. It also promotes palliative cures.

The document also responds to practical problems hospital chaplains face.

For example, it says confession is valid when one repents of one’s sins. That’s why, it says, it is wrong to give the sacrament to people intending to use euthanasia or assisted suicide.

The document asks priests to offer spiritual help to patients who have asked for euthanasia, but not to be present in the final moment, as this could be interpreted as support for the decision.

It says that if a Catholic hospital practices euthanasia, it stops being Catholic.

Vatican: Only Obstacle to the New World Order is… Donald Trump!

American economist and population control advocate Jeffrey Sachs launches a scathing attack on the Trump administration, saying it is a bullying threat to multilateralism. Sachs, who has a record of supporting abortion and contraception as a means of population control, was the keynote speaker at the conference on “New Forms of Solidarity” at the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences in the Vatican Gardens, Feb. 5, 2020.  See: https://www.ncregister.com/blog/edwar…

A couple of comments from underneath the video on YouTube…

He says “the US has taken tremendous, disastrous cuts in corporate taxation which is blowing up the worldwide taxation on companies.” Again, what a buffoon intending only to mislead for political and personal gain. The US had some of the HIGHEST corporate tax rates in the world before the tax cuts, and now falls in the lower mid range.

And…

The lies about China competing on merit turned my stomach. I work in hi-tech and the theft of our IP from China is unprecedented. To run a website there you have to get a number from their military, have a 51% partner, host it there, filter out everything they censor, for it to be viable. This just makes me sick to see him smugly maligning our country. Seriously! Sure the multi-lateral proponents are sore about their inability to continue to loot our country. Last I checked Mr. Sach’s goals were contrary to Catholic belief. What is the end game here for our Church.

And, finally…

See ya in 2020 Jeffrey when you will still be preaching doom and gloom…

Peter’s Pence: Bishops in U.S. Facing Legal Action Over Abuse of Funds…

From the National Catholic Register…

The Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera has reported that Vatican prosecutors are investigating how funds from Peter’s Pence have been allegedly invested in loss-making enterprises as well as a movie censored in some countries because of its explicit homosexual scenes.

In the latest in a string of recent stories involving financial misconduct at the Holy See, the Secretariat of State reportedly invested more than $1 million in the movie Rocketman, a biopic of the singer Elton John, and $3.6 million in Men in Black: International.

The first major Hollywood studio release to include an on-screen homosexual sex scene, Rocketman was censored in a number of locations, including Russia, Malaysia, Samoa and the Cook Islands, as well as temporarily on Delta Airlines.

Peter’s Pence refers to financial support offered by the faithful to the Pope, which according to the Vatican [is] “destined to Church needs, to humanitarian initiatives and social promotion projects, as well as to the support of the Holy See.”  Continue reading here

Class Action – see you in court!

On January 22, 2020, Stanley Law Group filed a class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island against the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for its role in the fraudulent promotion of Peter’s Pence as a charity to assist individuals throughout the world who have been affected by “war, oppression, natural disaster or disease.” Recent reports have shown as little as 10% of the contributions made to Peter’s Pence are actually used for these stated purposes.

In a press release issued at the time of filing, Marc Stanley stated, “It’s regrettable and tragic that such a trusted and well-respected organization has been taking advantage of the generosity of Catholic donors. USCCB must come clean and give back the money it took from well-intentioned people who thought they were giving urgently-needed funds to help the destitute around the world.”

Residents of the United States who have made contributions in the years 2013 – 2019 are encouraged to indicate their interest in joining the lawsuit by completing a simple form online at PetersPenceClassAction.com

In Scotland (and indeed in the UK generally) we don’t have a history of going to court, unless we’re in handcuffs.  Maybe that needs to change.  Some of us haven’t donated to Peter’s Pence (or any other collections beyond the price of a McDonald’s Cheeseburger Meal  for our priest) for quite some time now, but those of you who have done and still do, may like to ask your Bishop if he is happy enough using your money to contribute to the scandalous “enterprises” listed in the Peter’s Pence Class Action lawsuit…

The scandals just keep coming.  Little wonder that the Church is all but finished in the eyes of so many people who might otherwise be lining up to become Catholics.  Tragic.  And tragic especially for those priests and bishops who are causing these scandals. What lies ahead for them, is beyond tragic.

Holy Michael, Archangel,
Defend us in the day of battle;
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast down into Hell, Satan, and all wicked spirits, who wander through the world, for the ruin of souls. Amen.

If Pope Francis Doubts Divinity of Christ, Can We Trust The Church?

Comment:

The priest’s sermon in the above video is a much needed reminder of the basics of the Faith; the 20 minutes required to hear the sermon/watch the video is well worth spending to remind ourselves that – notwithstanding the scandals we are witnessing, not least through the words and actions of this shocking pontiff – God is with His Church, and it is the ONLY Church which has been given to us for our salvation.  It is worth reminding ourselves of just who and what is infallible, and when; and to check out the teaching of the Church that Scripture is true, entire and whole: there is no error in Scripture, as the Church herself is indefectable –  in relation to which, you may wish to comment on the police raid on the Vatican, to which Father refers. Oh,  and you may want to let us know what you think about the Amazon Synod recommendation that we begin now to confess our “sins against ecology”…  Laugh? I thought I’d never start…

Should “Robin Hood” Cardinal Face Jail For His Criminal Activity?

Below, extracts from a report on the Rorate Caeli blog

On May 12th, Cardinal Konrad Krajevski, Pope Francis’s Almoner, reactivated the electricity in an illegally occupied building on Via Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, in the centre of Rome. In order to do this, he had to break the seals put there by the Public Electricity Corporation (ACEA) which had disconnected the electricity because of the occupants’ unpaid bills (more than 300.00 Euros) over the last five years, .

The responsibility of this non-payment, along with the illegal occupation of the building, belongs to the Action-Diritti in movimento association, a social centre, headed by an extreme-leftwing militant, Andrea Alzetta, known as “Tarzan”, repeatedly denounced for trespassing, building devastation and resisting a public official. Pope Bergoglio’s representative, committed an act graver than we might imagine. In Italy, Article 349 of the Penal Code, punishes whoever violates seals affixed by the authorities with a 6-month to 3-year prison sentence. Furthermore, the connection being illegal, the action of the Papal Almoner consists in the crime of stealing electric energy.

Cardinal Krajevski, then, has transgressed the law and boasts of it publically, declaring, in a challenging tone, that he is ready to take responsibility for it. But apart from the penal aspect, we find ourselves faced with the canonization of the idea whereby it is licit to violate the rule of law in one’s own interests or in that of social groups. In short, it is the idea of “proletariat expropriation”, practiced by the Tupamaros, the Red Brigade and the No-Global.

The certainty of the law and respect of it are the only barriers that protect civil society from anarchy and violence. But what Cardinal Krajevski   (hailed by La Repubblica as a new Robin Hood) the former-Mayor of Riace, Mimmo Lucano (welcomed like a star at the La Sapienza University), or the leader of the “disobedients” Luca Casarini (recently under investigation for favoring illegal immigration) have in common, is disdain for State laws, in the name of a political ethic which has little or nothing to with the Christian ethic.

On Saturday May 18th the ninth edition of the March for Life will take place in Rome to renew the protest against law 194 of May 22nd 1978, which has claimed six million victims in forty years. This law negates a commandment of the Divine Law, which forbids killing the innocent. The response of the abortionists is that 194 is a law of the State, and as such, should be fully respected. If to save a baby from abortion even the slightest illegality is committed, there would be no justification whatsoever for the offender. For militant pro-lifers it is even forbidden to try to desist women from abortion, as is happening in Canada, where Mary Wagner has totaled five years of imprisonment simply because she tried to bring red roses, information and prayers into the abortion clinics.

To justify the illegal act of the Pope’s Almoner, Art. 54 of the Penal Code was invoked whereby “those who have committed an act having been constricted out of necessity to save themselves or others from actual danger of grave harm to the themselves or others are not punishable.”

No cardinal or bishop however, calls for disobedience against Law 194, which enforces State murder. Yet taking the life of innocent human beings is very much graver than disconnecting the electricity for a week to the residents of an illegally occupied building.

From Cardinal To Criminal: Australian Cardinal Pell Jailed …

Update – 3 March, 2019…

Since writing my original editorial comment below, I have been moved by the information given by bloggers and the evidence provided by several (not least  the Australian bloggers) which appears to point to the Cardinal’s innocence.  Read on, and tell us if you agree.

Comment:

St John Chrysostom, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, teaches that “…the person who does not become irate when he has cause to be, sins. For an unreasonable patience is the hotbed of many vices:  it fosters negligence, and stimulates not only the wicked, but above all the good, to do wrong. (Homily Xl, super Matheum, 1c, nt 7).

So, what is the correct Catholic response to this sort of horrendous news?  Horror at the Cardinal’s crimes (of which he insists he is innocent); compassion for his victims?  Compassion for the Cardinal himself, that he has, apparently, succumbed to a shocking temptation and thus fallen from grace and brought his high office – and the Catholic Church itself – into disrepute?

Anger? Compassion?  A combination?

We may hold different views on this – but we can surely all agree that we must pray hard for all involved. Our Lady of Good Success pray for us!     Our Lady of Fatimapray for us!

One key question, however, has to be whether or not these appalling crimes are doing irreparable damage to the Bride of Christ, His Church. Of course Christ has promised to be with His Church until the end of time, that the gates of Hell will not prevail against His Church. There was no promise, however, that the gates of Hell wouldn’t come close, and they have never been as close as they are now, in our times.  It has to be the case, then, that in some souls, the answer to the “irreparable damage” question is definitely “yes”.  Some will never see the beauty of the Faith, some will be convinced that all priests are abusers, that the Church is evil.  And isn’t that where St John Chrysostom’s exhortation to righteous anger should move us to action?  But, what, if anything – beyond prayer and sacrifice – can any of us do about this sordid scandal of the abuse of children and vulnerable adults?  There must be something we can do – but what?

Pope Francis Advocates Atheism Over Hypocrisy… But Not “Repentance”?

Pope Francis said “better not to go to church: better to live as an atheist (if you are a hypocrite)…

VATICAN CITY, January 2, 2019 – Pope Francis addressed a crowd of faithful with some jarring remarks during his first Wednesday Audience of 2019. Speaking in the Paul VI Audience Hall, this morning, the pope focused on two recurring themes of his pontificate: hypocritical Christians and the “revolutionary” nature of the Gospel.
“How many times do we see the scandal of those people who go to church and stay there all day or go every day and then live hating others or talking badly about people? This is a scandal – it is better not to go to church: better to live as an atheist,” the pope admonished.   Click here to read more

Comment:

How many popes in history have advocated living as an atheist rather than being a hypocritical Christian?  You know what I mean.  Aren’t we all hypocrites at some time or another, in some way or another? Why can’t he exhort us all to repentance and point out that we are showing a very bad example to atheists, who might otherwise be attracted to Christ’s Church?  Oops! No need, I forgot, they’re going to Heaven anyway even if they don’t believe in God!  In which case, so are all of us Christian hypocrites whom he exhorts to become atheists.  In which case, in turn, why bother with the Church at all?

It goes without saying (although I’m about to say it) that we, each of us, should be making every effort to overcome our lack of charity, to stop being hypocrites – and bloggers are invited, sincerely, to offer some practical tips on how to overcome this awful sin of lack of charity (I, for one, will welcome any suggestions with open arms).

However, giving up the Catholic sacraments-based spiritual battle to conquer our inner selfishness in order to  join the ranks of those who refuse to even acknowledge the existence of God, the first of the four Truths necessary for salvation, is not the answer to our sinfulness and weakness, our hypocrisy…  Is it?
