USA: Should Kavanaugh Withdraw?

Only now is the UK media beginning to cover the reports of sexual misconduct brought against Brett Kavanaugh –  with the predictable unquestioning acceptance of the allegations levelled against the Judge. Well, after all, it’s a woman making the allegations, and the accused is male, so she must be telling the truth… right?  As for what is motivating these women to exert themselves to keep him out of the Supreme Court… Having watched the ferocity of the pro-abortionists here in the UK, desperate to extend abortion “rights” and to decriminalise it completely, I think it’s clear that these “liberal” females will stop at nothing to prevent any “conservative” candidate from tipping the balance a tad more to the “right”.  Nothing these morons do surprises me in the least.  Maybe, though, for the sake of his own peace of mind, not to mention his family’s safety (there have been death threats), he should withdraw his nomination although  The New York Times  reports that he vows to continue  What would YOU advise him to do?  Is it really worth it?  Can anyone really fight this sort of smear campaign – and remain sane?

Below, a short video clip from the USA media, refreshingly challenging the uncritical media coverage to date…

Morality: Cohen Plea – What SHOULD Trump Do Now?

Comment:

Well, the knives are out for The Donald, no question about it – at least, judging by the reporting of the Michael Cohen guilty plea here in the UK, with reporters and presenters hardly able to conceal their delight at the possibility that President Trump will find himself either impeached in the near future, or in prison after he has left office. You could almost hear the champagne corks popping in the TV news studios today…

I may be wide of the mark here, and for goodness sake don’t take what I’m about to say as justification for either extra-marital affairs or ‘hush’ payments, but I can imagine a businessman like Trump thinking nothing of paying off some female blackmailers for the sake of avoiding the predictable publicity their stories, true or false, would bring – a distraction, to put it mildly, during a campaign to win the presidential election. After all, his reputation was not exactly squeaky clean, was it?  So, assuming the payments were made from his personal bank account, I’m not sure they’re as significant as his enemies are implying. But then, I could be wrong. Bound to happen some day.  What do you think – is Donald Trump implicated in criminal activity as a result of the Cohen guilty plea, and if so, what is the right thing, the moral thing, for him to do now – resign? Apologise and move on? What, then?

Trump & Jerusalem: A Moral Move, A Politically Smart & Valuable Move…

Comment:

Well, do you agree that in publicly recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and moving the U.S.A. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,  President Donald Trump has made a “moral move, a politically smart move and a politically valuable move” – or is he making things worse in the region?   After listening to the potted history on the video, doesn’t it seem odd that the media seem to be united in criticising Trump for this “moral, smart and valuable move”? Or, is it actually the case that no matter what he does, Trump will be criticised… A case of his not being able to do right for doing wrong?

Fatima: U.S.A., North Korea & The Prophesied Annihilation of Nations

Comment:

Father Gruner, RIP,  tirelessly pointed out that the only part of the Fatima prophecies not to have been fulfilled to date was Our Lady’s warning about the annihilation of nations – click here to read what, precisely, is meant by  this “annihilation”.

Are we about to see – to our horror – the fulfilment of that prophecy?

Trump’s Dumping Green Religion is a “Slap in the Face” For Francis – Vatican

VATICAN CITY (RNS) One of the pope’s closest allies says it would be a “slap in the face” for Francis if President Trump pulls the U.S. out of the Paris climate accord so soon after the two leaders met at the Vatican.

“If Donald Trump really decides to pull the U.S. out of the Paris accord it will be a disaster for everyone,” Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, who heads the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, told the Italian daily La Repubblica.

At their historic meeting last week, the pope gave Trump a copy of three documents, including his 2015 encyclical, “Laudato Si’,” which warns of the grave consequences caused by climate change and highlights how it’s aggravated by human activity. The president responded by promising, “I will read them.”  Click here to read more

Well?  Did Donald Trump “slap Pope Francis in the face” by pulling out of the Paris Accord?
