UK: Anti-Lockdown Protest Turns Violent – Surprised (It Took So Long) Folks?

Eight police officers have been injured as anti-lockdown protests in central London turned violent.

Demonstrators hurled bottles as officers attempted to disperse the crowds in Hyde Park on Saturday evening, the Metropolitan Police said.

Photographs posted on social media show a female police officer bleeding from a cut to her head, while another suffered a similar wound on his forehead.

Two officers were taken to hospital, although their injuries are not believed to be serious, the Met said.

The protests, which also took place on Oxford Street, come almost two weeks after Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were eased.

Five people were arrested for offences including assault on police and remain in custody, the Met said.

John Apter, national chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, tweeted: “These officers are just doing a job, they’re somebody’s son, daughter they’re mums and dads.

“To be targeted in the way they are says a lot about the society we’ve become.

“I will continue to do my best to support them but I need Government to do more, much more.”

Demonstrators held banners with messages such as: “Covid-19 Vaccine Holocaust”, and: “No To Vaccine Passports.”

Another banner read: “You don’t need proof to know truth.”

Earlier in the day, the Met said a 38-year-old man was arrested near Embankment on suspicion of a public order offence, while a 37-year-old man was arrested near Trafalgar Square on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and a public order offence.

The force said both men had been taken into custody as inquiries continue.

Shoppers flocked to high streets and drinkers downed pints as coronavirus restrictions were lifted in England on April 12.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged the nation to “behave responsibly” as indoor gyms, swimming pools, nail salons and zoos welcomed customers back.

A Government review into “Covid status certification” said they could “potentially play a role” in settings such as theatres, nightclubs and mass events, and might also be used in pubs and restaurants to reduce social distancing restrictions.

The documents would record – either on an NHS app or a paper certificate – whether someone has had a vaccine, a recent negative coronavirus test or natural immunity, having recovered from Covid-19.  Source

Comment:

At last, some people are waking up to the truth that we are being controlled and that it has nothing to do with any virus. Arguably, the only thing surprising about the violence mentioned in the above report is that it has taken so long.  We’ve published one article after another giving facts and figures to disprove Government claims that lockdowns are necessary; one letter after another sent to various politicians and “experts”, demonstrating that we know they are lying to us about the “cases” and the “deaths” – with none of the recipients ever replying to challenge the data.

So, is today’s lockdown protest in London (and there was another one in Glasgow) likely to prove a turning point?  Will the politicians realise that they are pushing us much too far into totalitarianism, and we ain’t having it?  Or what?

We need to pray urgently for wisdom for our political and religious leaders…  St Thomas More, pray for us.  Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

6/5: Scottish Elections: Should Catholics Withhold Vote in Protest at Tyranny?

A general view of the Scottish Parliament Building

Scottish Parliament Election 2021 – Putting Human Life and Dignity at the Centre

A letter from the Catholic Bishops of Scotland

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This election [6 May, 2021] presents us with an opportunity to play our part in putting human life and the inviolable dignity of the human person at the centre of Scotland’s political discourse.

We often see politics through a party prism, which can create a divisive, and occasionally fractious, political environment. Whilst party politics can be an important consideration, particularly in the Scottish Parliament list system, it is individuals who will make up the parliament and form a government; and some of the most important issues, including abortion and assisted suicide, are commonly decided by a conscience, or free, vote. Therefore, it is critical to ascertain candidates’ personal values and opinions and not concentrate solely on party policies.

As Catholics we have a duty: to share the Gospel and to help form the public conscience on key moral issues. It is a duty of both faith and citizenship.  This election is an opportunity to be the effective witness our Baptism calls us to be.

The new parliament and government will be tasked with leading the recovery from the damage wrought by the current health crisis and to tackle the significant impact it has had on many aspects of life including health care, mental health and wellbeing, religious freedom, and care for the poor. It must also build on the positives arising from the Pandemic, including caring for the most vulnerable, and a renewed sense of respect for human life, human dignity, and the value of community.

These are some of the issues you may want to consider in the forthcoming election:

 Beginning and end of life

It is the duty of parliamentarians to uphold the most basic and fundamental human right to life. Elected representatives ought to recognise the existence of human life from the moment of conception and be committed to the protection of human life at every stage. Caring for the unborn and their mothers is a fundamental measure of a caring and compassionate society; a society which puts human dignity at the centre.

We ought to be mindful of a further attempt to legalise assisted suicide in Scotland, likely to happen in this parliament. Legalising assisted suicide or euthanasia suggests that some lives are not worth living, contrary to the Christian belief that every life has equal dignity and value. It is incumbent upon our parliamentarians to show compassion for the sick and dying. This is not achieved by assisted suicide or euthanasia but by ensuring support is provided through caring and attentive politics, including investment in palliative care.

Family and Work

Society relies on the building block of the family to exist and flourish. The love of man and woman in marriage and openness to new life is the basic, fundamental cell upon which every society is built. The wellbeing of Scotland and its future depends on the flourishing of family life and government should respond to this reality with policies creating economic and fiscal advantages for families with children.

The pandemic has placed immeasurable pressure on businesses and many people have lost their livelihood. The state has a duty to sustain business activities by creating conditions which will ensure job opportunities, especially in times of crisis. This must be accompanied by a just wage to provide a dignified livelihood for the worker and their family.

Poverty, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

Sadly, poverty remains a scourge for too many people. The marginalised, the homeless, and the lonely and isolated have been cast further adrift because of the pandemic. And poverty now affects 24% of children in Scotland. We need elected representatives who respect a preferential option for the poor, who are willing to prioritise their need and respect their human dignity.

Our government must also work with the international community to adopt an even more effective strategy against human trafficking and modern slavery, so that in every part of the world, men and women may no longer be used as a means to an end, and that their inviolable dignity will always be respected.

 Environment

The next group of MSPs will be tasked with protecting our neighbours at home and abroad from the poverty and climate crises which continue to rage on. In November Glasgow will play host to the COP26 international climate change summit. We should listen to Pope Francis’ call to ‘hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor’ by lifting up the voices of the global south and coming together to rebuild our Common Home in a way that leaves no-one behind. Scotland can also demonstrate global leadership by strengthening its commitment to becoming a carbon neutral country.

Free speech, free expression, and freedom of thought, conscience and religion

If Scotland is to be a tolerant, open, diverse country then we must be free to discuss and debate ideas, even those which are deemed by some to be controversial. Whilst being mindful of the need to protect citizens from hate, government must not overstep into the realm of unjust restrictions on free speech, free expression and freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This must include, among others, the freedom to express belief in the biological reality of sex and gender.

 Catholic schools

The right of parents to choose a school for their children which corresponds to their own convictions is fundamental. Public authorities have a duty to guarantee this parental right and to ensure the concrete conditions for its exercise. Thus, parliamentarians ought to continue to support an open and diverse state education system which includes Catholic schools.

We pray that this election will put human life and the dignity of the human person at the centre, and that candidates will ensure debate is respectful and courteous.

We urge you to visit the website rcpolitics.org and to use the resources there to help you in your consideration of election issues and to use the tools available to question candidates.

Comment:

Our Lady of Aberdeen pray for us!

I usually leave an outspoken message on my ballot paper since, in conscience, I cannot vote for any of the political parties on offer. All of them support the evil abortion legislation currently on the statute book, and  my reading of the Church’s teaching on abortion convinces me that it is unconscionable for any Catholic to support a system of governance which legislates to allow the State sanctioned murder of the unborn child.

Additionally, this time there is the issue of the introduction of totalitarian governance under which we have been living for the past year. To reward the politicians responsible for this by voting them back into power, is unthinkable – I want no part in it. What about you?

If, however, you know of any 100% pro-life party worthy of the votes of Catholics, let us know.  The chances are, such a party would also be keen to fight back against the ongoing lockdown lunacy. Over to thee!

St Andrew, pray for us!  Queen (Saint) Margaret of Scotland, pray for us!
St Ninian, pray for us! St John Ogilvie, pray for us!

Restrictions: Crime Against Humanity: Letter to Scottish Health Secretary…

The following letter was penned by our very own Athanasius aka Martin Blackshaw and sent to the Scottish Government Health Secretary, Jeane Freeman SNP, on 16 February, 2021. After briefly outlining some practical examples of how this past year has adversely affected families, Martin continues…

You will never be able to comprehend the mental and emotional anguish associated with such a nightmare, entirely inflicted by the present irresponsible Government.

If there is one positive aspect to be taken from this madness, however, it is that, being of independent mind, I have spent endless hours researching official outlets for all information relating to the Chinese virus dubbed “SARS-CoV-2” - a dubious designation given that this particular Coronavirus has never been isolated and identified by established scientific method (Koch’s Postulates) anywhere in the world, a fact confirmed recently by the Australian government in response to a Freedom of Information request.

Notwithstanding this false classification of the virus, my God-given common sense suggested to me as far back as March last year that locking down a nation in response to a viral pandemic is as futile as it is unprecedented in human history, not to mention unlawful, which is why responsible governments of the past never considered such an approach to pandemic viruses, especially one that is rated 24th in the list of global threats to health.

The World Health Organisation has recently vindicated that wisdom, declaring lockdowns to be both pointless and counterproductive following the utter failure of the initial 4-month effort which concluded in July 2020 with a destroyed global economy, countless millions of ruined lives and a virus still very much alive and spreading.

Whatever happened to that government mantra “we follow the science”? If you really did follow the science then you would know that on May 11 last year Sir Chris Whitty, England’s Chief Medical Officer, declared from Downing Street that “for most people Covid-19 is harmless”, a declaration that has since been echoed by experts the world over.

You would also know that social distancing and face coverings are science-fiction, not peer-reviewed science  fact, which explains why the virus continues to spread despite these ridiculous classroom innovations. Airborne viruses have a much longer range of inhalation than 2 metres and are not deterred by  silly open-sided face masks. Furthermore, droplets can just as easily enter the body through the eyes.

Another questionable element in this global push to impose Beijing government on the nations is PCR testing. I note that the World Health Organisation has finally downgraded this method of testing as unreliable, citing an unacceptably high number of false positives and stating that it should not be used in future to isolate asymptomatic individuals who are very likely not infected.

Of course, a good many experts said this months ago, pointing out that PCR testing was never intended for use as a diagnostic tool on human beings since it cannot distinguish between a live virus and a dead one. They further pointed out that testing is open to results manipulation depending on how many cycles are used to run samples. Interesting that the voices of these eminent scientists and medical experts were suppressed on social media!

At any rate, this unreliability of PCR testing brings me to Covid-19 mortality and the huge question mark that now hangs over accuracy in the numbering of reported dead, even though it is already relatively low as it stands in terms of global population and very small in comparison with the estimated 70 million people who die in the world every year.

Since my immediate concern is about Scottish deaths, I will restrict my observations to official Scottish Government figures. According to these, 15,000 deaths are insinuated on the government website from a population of 5.5 million, which number equates to a mere 0.27% of the Scottish population – hardly the plague upon us!

I say insinuated because nowhere on the government website is there a declaration of deaths resulting directly from Covid-19. Nor indeed are we told how many of these 15,000 deaths were of people with pre-existing serious underlying health conditions, which, as we know, accounts for most deaths.

Instead, we have the following ambiguous declaration: “6,500 have died who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 8,300 deaths were registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate”. Given what we now know about PCR testing it is quite possible that very few of these people died from Covid-19. Is this why the website is so strangely, perhaps legally, vague in the matter?

Just to emphasise how harmless this virus is for a majority of the world’s healthy citizens, the American Centre for Disease Control (CDC) released the following Covid survival statistics in September last year: Age 0-19 years: 99.99% – Age 20-49 years: 99.98% – Age 50-69 years: 99.5% – Age 70 & over years: 94.6%. These numbers have not altered in the five months since they were published.

English Rose

Now, given that at the height of virus infection in England last year 40% of acute NHS beds were lying empty for the first time in decades, and given that more people are at risk of dying from suspended testing and treatment for genuine life-threatening illnesses, not to mention rising suicides and the mental health impact of Covid lockdowns, I want you to tell me what this is really all about.

Official statistics and declarations do not lie and cannot be written off so easily as “conspiracy theory”. This lockdown business, the psychological manipulation via the media to ensure compliance, the mask and social distancing mandates, the surveillance, the misuse of police, the encouraging of neighbours and children to report perceived rule breakers, etc., these are all classic tactics of Communist totalitarian regimes.

In Scotland, the additional singling out of religion for particular lockdown persecution is further confirmation, if such were required, that our nation is at the mercy of a Communist government with a programme to trample the divine and natural law while suppressing Constitutional civil liberties and human rights through abuse of legislative authority. In effect, it is the realisation of G K Chesterton’s wise observation: “Abolish the God, and the government becomes the God.”

As with all such aggressive atheistic regimes, however, the present Scottish government will pass into infamy, as have historically-similar destructive  regimes whose leaders thought themselves elected to power rather than to serving office.

It is in the very nature of Communists to want to dictate, oppress and destroy because they are unhappy souls who have not the charity or wisdom of God in them. The ideology they serve, while masquerading as caring and progressive, is diabolic in origin and in governance, inevitably resulting in national servitude and misery.

My one consolation at this time is that the SNP is presently tearing itself apart internally, another common feature of Communist regimes, and will soon hopefully disappear completely from the Scottish political landscape, though not without first having destroyed the economy and the lives of millions.

There is also the hope that one day, when this Covid fiasco is finally revealed for what it is, a good number of people will be called to account, at a Nuremburg-type hearing, for what I consider to be one of the greatest crimes ever perpetrated against humanity. Whether this happens or not is immaterial for none of us ultimately escapes the far more rigorous justice of God in eternity for our actions in this life.

I will conclude by saying that I would rather take my chances with a real deadly plague than live isolated and oppressed under the present Sturgeon dictatorship. How quickly a few weeks of lockdown “to flatten the curve” turned into a permanent police state with loss of freedom and hope for the population, mirroring life in Red China, North Korea, and the former USSR.  Ends.

Thank you, Martin, for writing that first class letter – it speaks for the majority, if not all of us, on this blog.  As a matter of interest, for those who may not know, Jeane Freeman was a leading member of the Communist Party in her youth and the Communist Party is listed as one of her political affiliations on her Wikipedia page.  For now, though, do you agree with Martin that we are living through “one of the greatest crimes ever perpetrated against humanity” ?

Covid Is Excuse To Take Our Freedom… Will We Fight For The Faith in 2021?

Comment:

There is really nothing I can add to (but merely endorse) Michael Matt’s powerful words in the above video. Really powerful. Just pay close attention to the situation in Italy and prepare for similar here – including the threat of living like this until at least 2024. I’m already on record as saying that I believe we’ll be living like this until the Consecration of Russia is done, and that remains my firm belief.  That doesn’t mean we roll over and accept what is happening. We return again and again to the same question, then, the same dilemma – what can we do?

Coronavirus: Rushed Vaccine Due To Be Rolled Out…Will YOU Take It? I Won’t!

The following extract from Buzzfeed News (2018) is a reminder of the danger of accepting a vaccine rush-job…

Dozens of NHS workers are fighting for compensation after developing narcolepsy from a swine flu vaccine that was rushed into service without the usual testing when the disease spread across the globe in 2009. They say it has destroyed their careers and their health.

When nurse Meleney Gallagher was told to line up with her colleagues on the renal ward at Sunderland Royal Hospital, for her swine flu vaccination, she had no idea the injection she was about to have had not gone through the usual testing process.

It had been rushed into circulation after the swine flu virus had swept across the globe in 2009, prompting fears thousands of people could die. From the moment the needle broke Gallagher’s skin, her life would never be the same.

“I remember vividly we were all lined up in the corridor and we were told we had to have it. It wasn’t a choice,” she claimed. “I was pressured into it. We were given no information.”

The date was 23 November 2009 and Gallagher was one of thousands of NHS staff vaccinated with Pandemrix, a vaccine made by pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

Eight years later, her career in the NHS is a memory and she’s living with incurable, debilitating narcolepsy and suffers from cataplexy, a sudden, uncontrollable loss of muscle tone that can cause her to collapse without warning. Because of her condition, she can no longer work or drive.

People with narcolepsy experience chronic fatigue and difficulty sleeping at night. They can have night terrors, hallucinations, and a range of mental health problems.

Gallagher is not alone.  Click here to read the rest of this report…

I will not take this vaccine, under any circumstances.  Will you?

Archbishop of Glasgow: “The Church has never said that [anyone] is in Hell” … Eh?

The following reflection, dated 22 November, 2020, is taken from the website of the Archdiocese of Glasgow – editorial comment added…

COVID restrictions and salvation

Archbishop Philip Tartaglia

In a far-reaching reflection this week, Archbishop Philip considers the new pandemic restrictions, our duty to live with charity and solidarity during this period, and our final judgement by Christ the King: “Two things make me hopeful for our eternal destiny … I have never met anyone without a scrap of love and charity in their heart.
Editor: allow me to introduce myself…

Secondly, the Church has never said that any individual person is in hell.
Editor: allow me to introduce you to Saint Jacinta – one of the Fatima seers, solemnly canonized by Pope Francis at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, in Portugal on 13 May 2017.  After the vision of Hell, when the seers saw the souls (plural) of those suffering there, Jacinta was so desperate to help poor sinners avoid Hell that she made many sacrifices. Read all about Fatima here  –  you really need to know about it, if you want to make sense of what is happening in the world today. Oh, and to know that there ARE souls in Hell.  Lots, sadly, of individuals.  Our Lord told us that, even before Saint Jacinta… Don’t you remember?  He mentioned “the furnace of fire” where there would be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 13:5).  Don’t you remember?  And it is the tradition of the Church,  the teaching of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, that Judas Iscariot is in Hell. I’m not sure that we’ve ever covered this in our newsletter, so watch out for our January 2021 edition – we’ll find a spot for it there. Interesting, isn’t it, that the Fathers and Doctors of the Church agree unanimously that there is, at least, one bishop in Hell… Er, moving on…

Jesus is the one who has the authority and the power to look into our souls and find there the love that will permit us to enter eternal life.
Editor: allow me to introduce you to Our Lord’s definition of “love” – He told us that if we love Him, we will keep His  Commandments and voila! Then we will be admitted to eternal life. It’s a tad misleading to speak of Jesus finding “love” in our souls when the word is so misused and abused these days.  Don’t you have a duty to make sure that those hearing and reading your words understand the nature of the love required to achieve eternal happiness?  “Love” (in the sense of the pop song) is NOT “all you need”.

“Jesus is the one who, despite our sins and frailties, has the authority to validate our existence and our activity forever. Jesus, the Universal Judge, in calling us to unselfish charity, is the one who scrutinises our souls for the spark of divine love that will permit us to live forever with the saints in heaven.
Editor: allow me to introduce you to my previous response. Except I need to mention “validate our existence and our activity forever” – if this is the latest way of describing The Judgment, I’d say ditch it. The Four Last Things is much easier to understand:  Death, Judgment, Heaven or Hell.  Nobody needs to run for a dictionary.

“Covid-19 is a particularly nasty virus, and we do not want people to become ill or die. Practical charity in this pandemic may just be that spark of divine love in us that the Lord will look for.”
Editor: allow me to introduce you to St Thérèse of Lisieux, one of the many great Christian souls who longed for death: “During this prayer, I would begin thinking that the day of rest was coming to an end, that the morrow would bring with it the necessity of beginning life over again, we would have to go back to work, learning lessons, etc., and my heart felt the exile of this earth. I longed for the everlasting repose of heaven, that never-ending Sunday of the Fatherland!” Indeed, can you believe this, Archbishop, we’re all going to die of something, some day.  And horrible as this virus is (you are right about that – well, even a broken clock is right twice a day 😀 ) some deaths may be much worse.

Full text follows:

And then there were 20 … It seems like a huge joke on the Church to proclaim Jesus Christ as King, while being under such severe restrictions that only 20 people at a time are allowed to come together in Church for Mass to celebrate this great feast. I never imagined for a second that I would mark my fifteenth anniversary as a bishop under these circumstances.
Editor:  well, this is one “joke” that’s not leaving any of the faithful amused.  Not one little bit.  I’ve yet to meet any Catholic  anywhere in Scotland who finds this situation remotely funny. I take your point, however, and it is true that we find it disgusting that the bishops would preach Christ is King while effectively handing His crown to Nicola Sturgeon.  An uncharitable soul might accuse the hierarchy itself of being “a huge joke”.  So, your point is not without merit.

I consoled myself by remembering the crucifixion of Jesus when the soldiers mocked him. “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.”
Editor: well, don’t console yourself. What you ought to be remembering is the fate awaiting false shepherds, because Scripture reveals that Christ warned against false teachers  more than He preached about love or any other desirable quality. To teach that the Government’s authority is greater than that which Christ the King bequeathed to His Church, is not something which should console you – it should worry you, dare I say it, to death…

When we proclaim Christ as King, we need to recognise that He is a King who reigns from the Cross, and, from the Cross he is the King who can promise paradise. To one who was crucified with him, you remember, and who recognised Jesus’ innocence, Jesus promised, “Today you will be with me in paradise.” Jesus is King because, through his Cross and Resurrection, he is the Saviour who has won for us the crown of eternal life.
Editor:  the “Good Thief” was promised Paradise despite his sins and crimes; but why? Because he confessed his sinfulness, unlike the other thief who doggedly taunted Our Lord and refused to accept his own sinfulness before God. We’re still waiting for that “Good Thief” confession from any of our Bishops; nothing, so far.  All we are hearing is that you’re all doing your bit to “save lives” and “protect the NHS”.  No repentance for designating God as non-essential in a public health “crisis”.

Jesus is the King who reigns from the Cross, and those who belong to his kingdom are called to carry their Cross and follow him to the glory of the Resurrection. Because of this pandemic, we are once again suffering even more severe restrictions to our freedom to come to church to worship God. Part of our suffering is the fact that it is not particularly clear why 50 had to drop to 20 in the Tier 4 regulations. It could, however, be worse. In England, Ireland and France, all churches are just closed full stop. We do not want that to happen, so we will bear this cross with dignity, patience and forbearance, hoping that the Tier 4 restrictions are lifted on 11th December as has been promised.
Editor:  this is not a “cross” – this is a dereliction of duty.  A cross of suffering we must accept with peaceful resignation.  Episcopal and priestly neglect we rightly abhor. It is a scandal which we are duty bound to publicly correct.  God is never “non-essential” especially at a time when we are being  frog-marched into totalitarian governance.

If you are frustrated by the Tier 4 restrictions on your personal freedoms, let me point you to today’s Gospel. Jesus is King also because he is the universal judge of every human being, with the authority to admit to eternal life or to condemn to the eternal fire.
Editor: that is a non-sequitur.  There is no connection between my loss of my personal freedom, for which the hierarchy (and each individual member of it) is largely to blame, because the Governments of the UK could never have imposed these restrictions on our religious liberty without the co-operation of the hierarchy, so, to recap, there is no connection between the loss of my personal freedom and the authority of Christ to Judge us in eternity. Unless, that is, you are saying that those politicians responsible for removing our personal (and religious) freedoms are going to face a very severe judgment.  Is that what you mean?  If so, you have a duty to warn them very publicly and very clearly, not hide your warning behind a  vague, generalised statement.

In this scenario of the last judgment, the measure Jesus will use for his judgment is love and practical charity. Here are his words: “I was hungry and you gave me food, thirsty and you gave me drink, sick and imprisoned and you visited me, a stranger and you made me welcome. When you did this to the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.”
Editor:  another non-sequitur.  What do those [beautiful] words of Our Lord have to do with your insistence on obeying a wholly secular and heavily Marxist-leaning Government which is responsible for the introduction of evil laws to destroy the family and legitimise (and promote) sexual immorality, a Government which is planning further evil through its shocking Hate Crime Bill and which is now wielding authority over the Church?   We’re definitely in waffle territory here.

We are told that we are under Tier 4 restrictions because the rate of Covid-19 infection in Glasgow and the West of Scotland remains, in the First Minister’s words, “stubbornly high”. At the beginning of this pandemic, we were all in it together and it was easier to accept lockdown. Now we are not. In some parts of Scotland, people are shopping normally, going to pubs and restaurants freely until fairly late in the evening, and socialising with each other more than we are.
Editor: it’s very interesting – and telling – that you found the first lockdown “easier” to accept, and that you quote the ridiculous slogan “we’re all in this together” which, is balderdash. The fact that the churches were closed meant that no Catholic found the first lockdown remotely easy.  We found it painful and doubly so because you, our bishops were happily going along with the Government’s authoritarian rule. We can’t even accuse the politicians of a coup d’état because the bishops were happy to co-operate and hand over their authority to the Government.  I find it very interesting that, for all the quotes from Scripture relating to Judgment, you do not seem to apply any of them to yourselves.  Your confidence in “love” being the passport into Heaven is troubling.  When Christ pointed out that that the infamous sinner, the woman who anointed his feet with oil would be forgiven her many sins “because she hath loved much”, she had first washed his feet with her tears of repentance. This was no superficial or emotional love – it was the kind of love required of us all, the love that takes us to the confessional box. (Luke 7:37-48).  It is misleading for priests and bishops to speak of “love” as if it pleases God and brings us to salvation, without repentance of our sins.

Part of this disparity is that in four Catholic dioceses, 50 people can be at Mass; and in the other four (which contain the vast majority of the Catholic community of Scotland), only 20 people can be at Mass. If this makes you frustrated or angry or feel a sense of unfairness, just try to bear it as our commitment to practical charity and to the love of our neighbour, so that infection rates will come down, and we will all be able to enjoy more personal freedoms at the end of this period of Tier 4 restrictions.
Editor:  there are just no words in any dictionary to describe the frustration and anger  (to use your words) felt by Catholics shocked by your subservience to the Government throughout this period.  To speak of “practical charity” and the “love of neighbour” as being the correct response to the limitations set on numbers of faithful who may attend Mass simply beggars belief. Charity and Justice must first be offered to God.  Of course, since the introduction of the new Mass, the emphasis has been on the people, the “community”, making the Mass more enjoyable, fun even, for them but – of course – that is the wrong way round. Charity is first and foremost, the love of God.  Our concern for justice, too, must first be directed to Justice for God to Whom we owe true worship.  The Ten Commandments are more important than any Coronavirus restriction. Thankfully, there ARE some (not many) priests who are defying Government rules – I’ve just been reading about a priest in Ireland who has re-opened his church despite his bishop cowering behind the propaganda about the need to “suppress the virus” – such idiocy!  This priest reveals more insight than any bishop into the reality of what is going on when he says: “There is a suspicion that they want to stop people believing in God … to stop people practising their faith.”  Got it in one.  In Scotland – and indeed across the UK – the bishops, complicit with the Government, are succeeding in doing this, whether deliberately or unwittingly, where the Protestant Reformers of the 16 century failed.

More than that – much more than that – Jesus the Universal King will judge us at the end on our love and charity.
Editor: to quote  Groucho Marx,  if I’ve told you this before, don’t stop me, I want to hear it again…  (I repeat): we will be judged on the kind of love which leads us to obey the Commandments:  “If you love Me, you will keep my Commandments” (John 14:21-24 ).

Two things make me hopeful for our eternal destiny … I have never met anyone without a scrap of love and charity in their heart. Secondly, the Church has never said that any individual person is in hell. Jesus is the one who has the authority and the power to look into our souls and find there the love that will permit us to enter eternal life.
Editor: again, in the spirit of Groucho Marx, allow me to repeat myself by introducing you to Saint Jacinta – one of the Fatima seers, solemnly canonized by Pope Francis at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, in Portugal on 13 May 2017.

Jesus is the one who, despite our sins and frailties, has the authority to validate our existence and our activity forever. Jesus, the Universal Judge, in calling us to unselfish charity, is the one who scrutinises our souls for the spark of divine love that will permit us to live forever with the saints in heaven.
Editor: once more, in the spirit of Groucho Marx, allow me to repeat myself.  If by “validate our existence and our activity forever” you mean The Judgment, I’d say ditch it. The Four Last Things is much easier to understand:  Death, Judgment, Heaven or Hell.  Nobody needs to run for a dictionary.

Covid-19 is a particularly nasty virus, and we do not want people to become ill or die. Practical charity in this pandemic may just be that spark of divine love in us that the Lord will look for.
Editor:  the problem with all this talk of “practical charity” is that the Government tells us to stay away from people.  I’m surprised that the bishops haven’t picked up on that in their anxiety to obey Mz Sturgeon & Company.  There’s not a lot of “practical charity” any of us can legitimately do when we are supposed to be wearing masks (which discriminates against the hard of hearing who struggle to understand what is being said behind the muzzles) and when we must keep a distance of six feet or whatever it is now from others  – I no longer keep up with these crackpot rules. I’ve worked it out that God has given me a mind of my own for a reason.  So, really, with all due respect, we don’t need exhortations from our bishops to “practical charity” or patience in carrying this “cross”; we need to see some backbone, some pushback, some practical charity towards God by a declaration that “enough is enough”.  The virus has been used by Government to introduce totalitarian governance by stealth, using the fear of  infection and death to control us.

Shame on you, Archbishop Tartaglia, and your brother bishops for allowing yourselves to be complicit in this spread of Communism, which was foretold at Fatima.  You must seek to make amends urgently, and where better to begin – after opening your churches, refusing to pay fines and accept prison if necessary – than by asking the Pope to arrange for the Consecration of Russia to be carried out in the manner prescribed by Our Lady at Fatima. When she spoke to the Fatima seer, Sr Lucia, Our Lady requested  that the Pope, in union with all the bishops of the world, consecrate Russia, the first ever nation to publicly deny the very existence of God in its governance, the first ever Communist country, to her Immaculate Heart. Only when this is done, will peace and order be restored in both the world and the Church.

This public giving back to God of Russia, this Consecration must be done by the Pope and the bishops of the world at the same time. A short prayer of Consecration, as requested by God through His mother at Fatima, would see off  the fear of this virus (which is not at all the deadly threat which the schemers claim) and we would enjoy the promised period of world peace. To date, we are seeing a purely worldly response to a contrived public health crisis, absent any spiritual, religious or moral leadership from the hierarchies around the world.  There’s plenty of talk of “judgment” in the above reflection but it is all askew – it is clear evidence of the lack of any Catholic sense.

At Catholic Truth, Archbishop, we are praying for you and for your brother bishops in Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. But what we cannot do, is defend your negligence and your worldly complicity with the politicians who are brazenly changing the way we are governed in order to remove our personal and religious freedoms.  Of this you must repent, as a matter of the utmost urgency, in the knowledge that judgment for any of us can come at any minute, day or night. You may take refuge in the Woody Allen philosophy: “It’s not that I’m afraid of death, I just don’t want to BE there when it happens!”  Well, Archbishop, Breaking News, you WILL be there.

St Joseph, patron of a happy death, pray for us. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

Lockdowns – Enough! Millions Need To Take To The Streets – Broadcaster…

Comment:

Any time I’ve heard her on the subject of Covid-19 and all that goes with it, Carol McGiffin is always clear-thinking and straight to the point.  She’s absolutely right to say that unless people take to the streets in millions, we’ll be living like this indefinitely.  In fact, that’s the very word which has featured often in the Boris & Nicola Show – “indefinitely”…  We won’t be returning to the old normal…. we need to get used to the “new normal”.  And I’m sure the same is true about Wales and the North of Ireland.  I just never hear those comedy sketches.   It looks very much like, well, if we want to have our God-given (not Government-given) rights and freedoms back, we are going to have to do something drastic.  We’re going to have to rebel, whether individually, or, as Carol says, in our millions on the streets of the UK.  It may be that we come to see that this is our Christian duty, that we have a moral obligation to protest the totalitarianism under which we are currently living.  I think she’s on the button there.

However, when reflecting on the “why” – why does the Government continue with the same failed (and ridiculous) lockdowns and restrictions when they clearly don’t work – Carol (and interviewer, Kevin)  draw the same conclusion as all the other commentators:  the received wisdom seems to be that it’s because the politicians have boxed themselves into a corner and can’t find a way of getting out of the situation… they’re committed to lockdowns whether or not they work, because the politicians don’t want to lose face.  I think this is totally false. They’re brazen – these scoundrels don’t give a toss about “losing face”…

Politicians getting themselves out of awkward situations, doing “u-turns” – albeit dressed up to not look like u-turns – is part and parcel of being a politician.  They lie for a living.  It’s nothing to them to change course. That is not the reason for their persistence. Watch any episode of ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ or ‘House of Cards’ to refresh your memory.  No, that’s not it.  They have tried and tested ways of changing course and getting away with it – they’ve literally made a career out of doing just that.  So, why are they continuing with the same old, same old, ridiculous and failed policies?

As I’ve opined many times on this blog, I believe it’s because there’s big money involved.  In the above interview, there’s no mention of The Great Reset, brainchild of the World Economic Forum, much less one of their major slogans, “You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy about it”; no mention either of the claim from the President of Belarus that he refused a bribe to introduce lockdowns in his country.  No mention at all.

So, disappointingly, even the more savvy of the broadcasters in today’s heavily censored media climate, still don’t get it.  Or maybe they do and they’re not allowed to say so on air.  If so, they’re not being honest by continuing to peddle the lie that suddenly our political masters are just a tad too shy and embarrassed to admit that they made some mistakes in imposing lockdowns, destroying the economy, leaving patients without necessary treatments and operations for the purpose of allowing the NHS to focus on those with Covid symptoms, and too bad about the dramatic increase in suicides as a result of depression, job losses and a combination of the above. Doesn’t make sense to me.  There’s money being handed down from those in high – if very dark – places.  That’s my considered opinion…  What about you?

Turmoil USA: Tucker Carlson Quotes Archbp Viganò’s Letter to President Trump

For the third time, the above video has been removed on YouTube. None of the programme seems to be online, so we can’t publish the clip of Tucker’s comments about Archbishop Viganò.  However, the clips are included in the following Dr Taylor Marshall video…

Comment:
Tucker seems to do his homework, as indicated in his inclusion of parts of Archbishop Viganò’s letter to the President. And he covers so many angles in his search for the truth about what is going on right now, in the name of Covid-19. We know that he’s watched across the world, and that other commentators will now be alerted to the existence of the Archbishop’s letter.  This can only help encourage those with a mind to investigative journalism surely?

Thanks, too, to Dr Taylor Marshall for his commentary, with inclusion of the segment from Tucker’s show.

No Science Behind Covid Lockdowns…

Sky News Australia…

American lawyer Michael Senger says the COVID-19 lockdowns “might not even be science at all” but are based on Xi Jinping’s philosophy which also inspired the re-education of Uighur Muslims in concentration camps.

Mr Senger said Xi Jinping’s philosophy was the same hybrid of health and security policy which inspired the re-education of millions of Uighur Muslims in concentration camps.

“This is the exact same policy that inspired his lockdown of Wuhan … there was actually no science behind it,” he said. “The WHO explicitly says that says lockdowns are completely new to science, completely unprecedented and have no scientific literature behind them before XI Jinping ordered them,” he said. Mr Senger said the CCP has been using social media propaganda to push for the lockdown measures practiced in Wuhan to be implemented in countries around the world.

“An Israeli company identified an huge ring of tweets, thousands and thousands of tweets, using essentially identical language, denigrating all these other governments, essentially encouraging them to adopt China’s model,” he said. Mr Senger added there was an apparent connection between countries and states with closer links to China and how willing they were to implement the lockdown policy. “This to me suggests that China is suggesting they do this,” he said. “They’re probably more inclined to trust China’s response to the pandemic. “That is a horrible mistake ….no one will ever eliminate the coronavirus by lockdowns.”

Comment:

So, no science behind the lockdowns but, er, Communist China behind the lockdowns… Now, there’s a surprise – NOT!

Governments Bribed To Create Covid Panic – NOT A Conspiracy Theory…

Comment:

The above video is spectacular in its exposé of the truth about the pandemic – clearly the Irish Government is no different from the governments of the UK in its crackdown on the civil liberties of the people of Ireland.  In every respect, Dave Cullen’s video is first class.  Supported by facts and figures, he confirms what we’ve discussed on this blog many times, that this pandemic is, in fact, a “scamdemic”, engineered by the “powers-that-be” who want to achieve a  de-populated, “greener” world – by fair means or foul. Bribery seems to have been one method used to get world governments to impose their Covid-19 panic and restrictions. It’s by no means unusual for conditions to be attached to loans, of course, so the term “bribe” is likely to be rejected on that basis.  In any event, whether “conditions” or “bribes” it’s murky stuff.  Dave Cullen highlights the claim made by the President of Belarus…

FROM ARMSTRONG ECONOMICS…

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko REFUSED the offer and stated that he could not accept such an offer and would put his people above the needs of the IMF and World Bank. This is NOT a conspiracy. You may research this yourself. He actually said this!

Now IMF and World Bank are bailing out failing airlines with billions of dollars, and in exchange, they are FORCING airline CEOs to implement VERY STRICT POLICIES such as FORCED face masks covers on EVERYONE, including SMALL CHILDREN, whose health will suffer as a result of these policies.

And if it is true for Belarus, then it is true for the rest of the world! The IMF and World Bank want to crash every major economy with the intent of buying over every nation’s infrastructure at cents on the dollar!   Source – Armstrong Economics

Consider…

Is anyone really surprised at the idea of international bodies bribing Governments or, given what we know of the characters of our political leaders, that they might find such bribery – or “conditions” –  acceptable?
