Scottish Government does not truly believe virus claims – response to Sturgeon letter

Those of us living in Scotland are receiving a letter from Nicola Sturgeon this week (I hope they publish the financial costs involved in sending out all the propaganda we’ve been sent about this virus).  There is  no copy of this latest letter on the Government website that I can find, although the following notice is posted:

Households will be sent information explaining how the Test and Protect system works and setting out what to do if someone develops coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms.

NHS Test and Protect is being delivered by NHS Scotland to reduce the risk of the virus spreading. People with symptoms are urged to get tested straight away, with positive cases then referred to contact tracers.

The advice is being issued as the country moves into phase 2 of the Scottish Government’s exit strategy routemap with more restrictions being lifted and the new message to ‘Stay safe. Protect others. Save lives’. End of extract.

Martin Blackshaw (aka Athanasius) has been busy on his keyboard, again challenging the powers-that-be on the matter of the ongoing lockdown – this time writing to Nicola Sturgeon.  I plan to do the same myself, a little later and I urge everyone reading this who receives her letter, to do the same.  It’s outrageous that we are being patronised in this  way – clearly she, like the other politicians promoting this lockdown, works on the assumption that we’re all daft and don’t have any other source(s) of information.  I’d like to prove her wrong.

Martin’s letter is incomplete at the time of this writing, but he has kindly granted permission to publish it anyway.  Perhaps this reminder of some key facts, together with some new information, will encourage us all to let Nicola Sturgeon know that we’re not fools, we don’t believe the propaganda.

Martin writes…

I completed my letter to Nicola Sturgeon and sent it off today, copied to Jackson Carlaw and Richard Leonard on the opposition benches.

Here it is:

Dear First Minister,

A few days ago I received your general letter to the Scottish people in which you thank us for our “admirable” help in tackling the Covid-19 crisis. It is a letter that I believe will be historically recorded as one of the most condescending and untruthful letters ever written by a national leader.

The Scottish people, as you well know, had no choice in the matter of how Covid-19 was tackled. You simply assumed to yourself a totalitarian authority beyond your remit, as did Boris Johnson, and used it with police backing to suppress civil liberties and human rights. In effect, you imposed the Beijing method to treat the Chinese virus!

The people did not willingly co-operate in this appalling abuse of authority, they were coerced into compliance. If many resigned themselves to the power grab and its dire consequences it was only because government and the media terrified them into submission with propaganda to the effect that the plague was upon them. Fear is a great persuader, especially irrational fear induced psychologically by a government-sponsored ‘silent assassin’ narrative.

The ruse was finally exposed on June 7, however, when the Scottish Government in conjunction with Police Scotland permitted an anti-racism demonstration to take place on Glasgow Green. There were thousands of people present at that rally, very few of them wearing face masks and none of them observing social distancing rules.

This single event was proof positive that the Scottish Government had never truly believed Covid-19 to be a threat to the general public, a fact borne out by official statistics showing that less than 2500 people from a population of 5.5 million have died with the virus, though not necessarily of the virus.

This relatively small number equates to 0.04% of the Scottish population, of which around half were elderly people locked down in care homes while the remainder were largely people with compromised immune systems. In fine, these were tragic deaths of people who would have been at risk from any respiratory virus.

The same can be said of statistics south of the border; a relatively low percentage of deaths in terms of overall population conflated with deaths from all manner of other causes due to a general suspension of post mortem examinations and similarly questionable methods.

If 40% of empty NHS acute beds in the UK at the height of the “crisis” tells us anything it is that there was never a plague, just a virus which, as Sir Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer for England, declared from Downing Street on May 11, “is harmless for the majority”.

Both the Scottish and UK governments have terrorised the British public for three months now in the matter of this virus, using it to suppress democratic freedoms in an unprecedented manner and placing the economy in a serious downward spiral. It is a surreal turn of events that is Constitutionally radical and evidentially unjustifiable.

Furthermore, both governments have imposed the most disgraceful restrictions on religious worship while allowing massive anarchist gatherings and riots to take place in the public square to the great detriment of the established order. This tactic of simultaneous oppression of religion and toleration of public anarchy is classic Marxism.

Given that the same cultural Marxist subversion is being mirrored in the Democrat-led States of America right now, always with the approval of the left wing media, I think it not unreasonable to suspect that the free world is undergoing an orchestrated geopolitical assault on democracy with a view to replacing it with the “New Normal” of Socialist Totalitarianism.

Whatever the end game, official statistics and declarations conclusively prove that this Police State phenomenon has nothing whatever to do with a genuine health threat. Rather, it is our Western democratic culture that is under threat and the informed public are catching on.

Given the unprecedented nature of this bold assault on British freedom it is now evident that the UK desperately needs a new system of politics, one in which patriotic men and women recognise anew that they are elected to serving office and not to self-serving ruling power.

Until that happy day dawns, let me assure you that I will never abide by mandatory face masks on public transport, the 2m distancing rule or any other unscientific imposition on my freedom. Neither will I submit to surveillance methods such as track and trace or abusive legislation to force mandatory vaccination. This kind of government overreach belongs in Communist China and north Korea, not in free democratic Britain!

Comment:

Let’s all write to Nicola Sturgeon to tell her we are entirely fed up with this unnecessary lockdown; we want our freedom back.  She is so keen to act independently of England, so instead of following in Boris’s footsteps, implementing the same easing of restrictions as he introduces in England a day or so after him, why not own up to the fact that there is no real threat at all to the population of Scotland and we ought to (not “may”) return to normal, ordinary, everyday life, with immediate effect.

That’s more or less what I’m planning to write – not going to waste an afternoon or a bunch of words on her.  Just a few lines to get the message across that not the entire Scottish population is as gullible as it may seem right now.  People are beginning to express dissent from the “new normal” so let Catholic Truth readers, lurkers and bloggers get there first!   You know it makes sense!

Write to:

Rt Hon Nicola Sturgeon MSP
First Minister of Scotland
St Andrew’s House,
Regent Road,
Edinburgh,
EH1 3DG.

Nicola Sturgeon wiping away a tear  on reading letters exposing virus propaganda, demanding our freedom back – we’d sooner have the Scottish Government give us back our civil liberties than independence from England!

Scottish Government dragging its feet on easing lockdown is an abuse of power…

From Spiked Online

Whatever the truth of the threat we face from coronavirus, it is always worth bearing in mind that the way science is understood and used is often determined by the prevailing political and cultural norms. For example, one of the key political trends of the past two decades has been the rise and rise of what is called the ‘politics of behaviour’.

The politics of behaviour is a New Labour invention. It has been adopted by all the political parties but is most wholeheartedly embraced by self-proclaimed ‘progressives’. Developed as a form of micro-politics that obsesses about little things, it is also a form of politics that has infected the regional assemblies most of all. If you want to know what will be banned next, it is always advisable to check out what’s going on in the Welsh Assembly and the Scottish Parliament. This helps to explain why up here in Scotland, the baby steps we are taking out of the lockdown are even more babyish than in England.

One could argue that Scotland has had a ‘lockdown’ culture for some time. When it comes to locking or clamping down on what we can say and do, Scotland leads the way. Whether it is criminalising words, trying to stop people from smoking or drinking, or attempting to make us eat ‘correctly’, the Scottish government has been at the forefront of attempts to limit the freedom of the public and to ensure that we all ‘behave responsibly’.

Take the recently proposed hate-crime bill – a bill that goes much further than England’s counterpart in attempting to criminalise words. Indeed, if passed in its current form, it could lead to preachers being arrested in churches for reading ‘incorrect’ sections from the Bible. Scotland was also first to criminalise even the lightest smack. It also notoriously attempted to give every child in the country a Named Person – essentially a state guardian, to oversee their every need – until the Supreme Court ruled this to be illegal.

With such an attachment to the politics of behaviour, it is no surprise to find that the Scottish government is dragging its feet on easing the lockdown. Underpinning this form of politics is a patronising distrust of the public and a tendency to want to over-regulate what we do in our daily lives…

The emergence of the politics of behaviour, nudge policies, awareness raising and so on represents a change in the way that a key section of the modern elite engages with the public. It helps, in part, to explain the relentless way in which the ‘Stay Home’ message has been used and abused over the past two months. It also helps to explain why Scotland is clinging on to this mantra while England tries to move on.

At a time when the spirit, the will and the initiative of the Scottish people are needed like never before, it is time to demand that the government stops telling us how to behave and allows us to start acting.    Click here to read the entire article at source…  Author: Stuart Waiton, who is a sociology and criminology lecturer at Abertay University in Dundee.

Comment:

There is no doubt at all that the Scottish Government under Nicola Sturgeon is determined to keep us in lockdown as long as possible. The question is, what can the public do, in practical terms, because the majority of Scots are not, by nature, given to rioting – at least not without a good few drams of “the hard stuff” – and I, for one, don’t drink!  So, how to get out of this false imprisonment? There is absolutely no evidence that the lockdown is necessary – it wasn’t necessary, in the first place.  But now?  Not remotely.

Is just ignoring the restrictions the right thing to do, live our lives as fully as possible, and not allow ourselves to be turned into little obedient servants of the State?  Or would that be the wrong thing to do?  Writing to MPs isn’t achieving anything – my letter received the usual automatic acknowledgment but nothing more. We’re being played for fools.  How should we to react? Or is there no “should” or “ought” – is it more a case of we “may” or we “might” do this or that?  Or, back to square one, should we simply wait until the Government gives us more permissions, and be thankful for them, no matter how limited, how “babyish” the steps to the new normal – which is really a future with very limited freedom.

Is the Scottish Government abusing its power? I definitely think so – but do you?  Share your thoughts – while you are still free to do so…

Lockdown & Loss of Freedom – Why the Sinister Silence from the Media?

Comment:

Clearly, the mainstream media in both the UK and the USA has bought into the Government(s) message, which is that we’re all obeying the scientists/medical experts.  On other threads, we’ve discussed the fact that not all scientists and doctors agree but those who don’t agree are kept well away from the microphones and TV studios.  We are getting one message only from people programmed to repeat it and not question it.  Given the examples in the Tucker Carlson video above, which reflect what is happening here in the UK, we need to find a way of challenging the silence of the mainstream media which is, surely, sinister by any standard.  That no-one is questioning the loss of our freedoms, in this unique situation, is definitely sinister.

Remember, this is primarily a religious question – as is everything to do with human life, in fact.  If there is no-one in the media questioning the danger of the nation (if not the entire world) sleep-walking into totalitarianism, then our churches will be closed forever. And there will be no need to speculate on whether we are now suffering a chastisement – it will be indisputably the case.

The opportunity for the voice of the public to be heard is limited, but it is possible to make some level of protest through, for example, certain radio programmes.  The LBC (Leading the British Conversation) phone-in shows allow members of the public to broadcast their views.  Click here and then check out the shows, pick the one you think might be worth a  try, and dial the number as soon as possible after the show goes on air.

Thus, you may do some simple Catholic Action by telephone, using, perhaps some of the facts on our other threads, to make a point – notably The Truth About The Lockdown

Entrust your efforts to Our Lady, in this her special month, and who knows what good might come of it.  Whatever, it’s worth reflecting on the strange phenomenon of a media wholly silent on the loss of our civil liberties, when we would normally expect them to be interrogating politicians, doctors and the police to hold them to account for their role in instituting and applying the draconian measures designed to keep us in our homes – perhaps indefinitely.
