Covid-Christmas: Politicians Panic As Media Puts Pressure To Tighten Rules…

Comment:

It’s truly terrifying to watch the the way the (entirely contrived) fear of “the virus” is continuing to be peddled by media hacks and career politicians like Keir Starmer, as evidenced in the above news clip. None of these people have lost a day’s pay, remember, while many small business owners and employees are struggling and may lose their livelihoods.  Remember, Kay Burley, and several other Sky News employees were caught breaking the Covid rules but lest you imagine that they were slapped with the same huge fines that the rest of us land in similar circumstances, think again; they’ve been suspended for a few months on – wait for this – full pay. That is, they’ve been sent off on holiday.  Laugh? I thought I’d never start.

I’m certainly not laughing at the threat to remove the “Christmas carrot”…  Having dangled the carrot of a few days of relative freedom over Christmas, there is every chance now that this will not happen, or, at least, that the restrictions will be tightened to make a show of being “responsible”  – when, in fact, both the political class and the media are wholly irresponsible, lying to us about this horrible, but certainly not deadly, virus.  “Surges”?  “Spikes” – I’m still waiting, almost one year on, to meet anyone who has been diagnosed with this virus, and I’m still waiting, almost one year on, to meet anyone else who has met someone diagnosed with it.  So, gimme a break. We’re not ALL stupid.  Last time I checked, the figures showed that of those who DO get his blankety blank virus, the majority – 99.97% – recover. That’s the only number that counts… The top cause of death in the UK is heart disease – are we all to be fitted with pacemakers?  Gerragrip.  This wasn’t a pandemic last March and it’s not a pandemic now.

Yet, people are saying things like “I wonder what we’ll be allowed to do” [over Christmas];  that is worrying.  It demonstrates how quickly and easily the population has slipped into totalitarianism, accepting that the Government has the right to tell us what to do in our personal and religious lives.  Should we check with our MP or MSP to make sure it’s OK to go to church at Christmas?  Leave out a snack for Santa?   Yeah right.  As Sir Desmond Swayne MP said on the floor of the House of Commons a couple of weeks ago: this is a very dangerous lesson to give the Government; that they only have to snap their fingers and we will give up our freedoms with nothing more than a shrug of the shoulders.

For pity’s sake, fellow Scots, English, Welsh and Irish, find some backbone and fight back against this tyranny.

I will spend Christmas as I choose.  What about you?

Science New Religion – Once We Accept Police State, There Is No Turning Back…

Comment:

Note that the interviewer, Richard Madeley, is keen to put on record the fact that he is “not a conspiracy theorist”. Even in the face of self-evident sinister totalitarian governance, people like him in broadcasting still think that this is about a virus.  Gimme strength.  Remember, in a recent previous programme his interviewee told him about The Great Reset and he said he would check it out. Clearly hasn’t done so.  Gimme – as I say – strength!

Highly amused, Madeley mocks the idea that the police would actually enter people’s homes to break up Christmas gatherings. Incredible that any radio or TV presenter (and he’s been both) should be so ignorant of even headline news – click here to read a top police officer warning about doing exactly that…

Richard Madeley’s gushing endorsement of Boris is second only to the SNP gushers up here… Why are so many people incapable of believing that it is possible for politicians to “go rogue”?  Are they really so naïve that they think UK politicians are well-meaning and only care about our physical health? Gimme strength!

In another [Anna Brees] interview on this blog, the expert doctor answered the question about why the media is not exposing the truth about this “crisis” by saying that they’ve been given “a script”.  Wrong.  I think everyone involved in this cover-up has been given a cheque.  Big money is responsible for this ongoing totalitarianism.  How else to explain the uniform response of Governments and media across the world, the continuing restrictions, the repeated threat of more lockdowns.  If you disagree, be sure to say so in the comments. You won’t convince me, but have a go if you must…

Key question:  why is there no massive fightback in Scotland as there is in England?  There have been thousands gathered in London to protest on more than one occasion, and groups organised such as the Keep Britain Free movement.  Nothing, though, specific to Scotland, as far as I know – although I did see the saltire flying in Trafalgar Square at those protests.  Still, nothing comparable on home soil. Are Scots quite happy to live in a police state? Really?

Pope Francis’ “Last Christmas” Warning

In a grim speech, the Pope said that the current chaotic state of the world marks the beginning of the “end times”, and that this time next year the world is likely to be unrecognisable.  terrorism

Francis, who previously announced the beginning of World War 3, had labelled this year’s Christmas as a “charade” during a Mass at the Casa Santa Maria earlier in the month.

We are close to Christmas. There will be lights, there will be parties, bright trees, even Nativity scenes – all decked out – while the world continues to wage war,” he said earlier in December.

The Pontiff, who turned 79 on Thursday, elaborated on his views this weekend, telling a crowd, “While the world starves, burns, and descends further into chaos, we should realise that this year’s Christmas celebrations for those who choose to celebrate it may be their last“.  Source

Does the fact that he holds the key to ending all this war never enter the head of this pontiff?  Is he really that blind that he doesn’t know that by obeying Our Lady’s simple request to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, there will be – as she promised – a period of peace in the world?  Or does he share Pope Benedict’s faithless view that, to paraphrase (but only slightly) “it can’t be that simple”? Do they also consider it an exaggeration of Our Lord to query whether or not, when He returns to earth at the end of time, He will find any faith – even in the Vatican? Speak!

Celebrating Christmas…

This Christmas thread is to allow us firstly to reflect on the momentous event which changed the world forever – the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ: hence feel free to post your favourite prayer, hymn, story, poem of the season etc.

Secondly, this thread is to allow a breather from serious discussions, so some fun is in order: post Christmas jokes and stories – in the spirit of our ‘Good Clean Fun’ thread earlier this year – and we’ll promise to laugh, even if the jokes are of the Christmas cracker corny variety!

And, in anticipation of the stroke of midnight, allow me, on behalf of the Catholic Truth team, to wish all our bloggers and readers a very happy and holy Christmas, 2013.

Share Your Ideas For Christmas Gifts...

We often write our wishes for “a happy and holy Christmas” to friends and relatives on our cards. But how often does this sentiment influence the kind of presents we buy?

Click on the photo to find a range of gifts which you can purchase online from Angelus Press – we can recommend them because the materials they publish are solidly Catholic.

If you have another solidly Catholic outlet to promote, feel free to do so on this thread.

Or perhaps you feel Christmas presents should be “fun” items or you have reasons why giving religious books and items might not be a good idea for you. Whatever your thoughts on this, we’re interested to hear them.
