Fr David Sherry is an Irish priest of the Society of St Pius X (SSPX) who served in Scotland for a year before he was re-assigned to Canada. We have very happy memories of him in Glasgow – indeed, one of my Great-Nephews received his First Holy Communion from Fr Sherry, with a photograph on their fridge as a permanent reminder!
Topics for discussion in the above lengthy interview with Fr Sherry of the SSPX, include:
1. What is the SSPX
2. Who was [Archbishop] Lefebvre
3. Was he guilty of a schismatic act when he ordained 4 bishops or was it necessary due to a state of emergency?
4. Does the Vatican allow Catholics to attend SSPX masses to fulfil their Sunday obligation?
5. Is the status of the SSPX currently canonically irregular or schismatic?
6. Will there be an agreement with the Vatican soon, in your estimation?
7. What are some of the problems with Vatican II?
8. What are your thoughts on the Pachamama ceremony in the Vatican Gardens?
9. Is the Novus Ordo valid?
10. What should a Catholic do if an SSPX chapel is not available near them?
Share your thoughts on Father’s very clear explanation of the work of the Society in the context of the current unprecedented crisis in the Church. What possible reason can anyone offer for continuing to avoid the SSPX Masses/Sacraments in this worsening time of trial within the Church?

This Friday is Red Nose Day, the biannual fundraising extravaganza for Comic Relief. There has been controversy about the event this year, with MP David Lammy saying that Stacey Dooley was promoting a “white saviour” mentality with her Instagram photo of her holding a child in Uganda. There are certainly questions to be asked about the portrayal of Africa in fundraising efforts, but for pro-lifers, another question often comes up – does Comic Relief support abortion? Click here to read more…
It should be obvious to any Catholic reading the LifeNews report that no Catholic could possibly, in good conscience support, in any way, the Comic Relief/Red Nose Day enterprise.
Unfortunately, dressed up as fun and frolics, it is attractive to young people keen to feel they are doing something worthwhile by raising funds for “charity” while, at the same time, enjoying themselves. It is commonplace for Catholic schools to support Red Nose Day.
Is there an alternative? Well, one Parish Priest in Glasgow turned Hallowe’en away from ghosts and ghouls, into a Saints & Angels event where children were invited to attend a parish party dressed as their favourite saint or as an angel, so it should not be beyond the bounds of the Bishops’ imagination to come up with a Catholic anti-dote to this annual “Comic Relief/Red Nose Day” fundraiser where money is going to various charities to which no Catholic should donate, not least the notorious Planned Parenthood abortion provider.
Continuing the UK Government’s policy of spending vast sums of aid money on pushing contraception and abortion on developing nations, Theresa May, the Prime Minister, has announced a new initiative which will see £200 million spent on family planning in Africa and Asia.
The Prime Minister announced the creation of the Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) programme during a visit to Kenya. It will “target women and girls in rural and poor communities who have traditionally been hardest to reach, will provide mobile clinics and contraceptive materials such as pills, condoms and implants.” …
As Donna Harrison, M.D, president, American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said in a letter to the Office of the UN High Commission on Human Rights, “abortion, spontaneous and induced, accounts for less than 5 percent of maternal mortality. It is scientifically, medically, and morally unacceptable to divert resources from interventions proven to reduce maternal mortality to the provision of abortion, under the guise of ‘decreasing unsafe abortion.’ The better way to reduce the human rights dimension of maternal mortality is to provide resources targeting the causes of 90 percent of maternal mortality.” Read entire LifeNews report here
Blogger Wendy Walker, writes:
This is absolutely DISGRACEFUL …I will be writing as a paid up member to both her and HQ to ask what is going on. She also, I believe, congratulated Varadkar on obtaining abortion for Ireland.
This unelected PM must go NOW; bring on Jacob Rees-Mogg urgently. Why could she not put this HUGE amount of money towards desalination/seed programmes to help the new generations in a positive way? More genocide and racism here as well …please everyone who is upset by this travesty DO write in to number 10 – thank you.

“Mass Resistance” is a pro-family group fighting the LGBT propaganda machine in the USA.
Below, a very interesting report on their work in Africa, where, so far, the people are rejecting the push for “gay” rights…
From Mass Resistance…
“Much of the major conflict in the world over LGBT “rights” is now taking place in central Africa.
Here in the US, the church’s influence on the “culture war” is breaking down and has caused considerable confusion. But the Africans are VERY clear-headed on these issues. They get it. In countries such as Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, people are very aware of the destruction that widespread homosexual behavior brings to society and especially to children.” Click here to read more…
Why are the African people so clear headed about the issue of homosexual “rights”? How come they “get it” where the rest of the world, more or less, has fallen, hook, line and sinker for the propaganda? What can we learn from the African success, to date, in fending off the powerful LGBT lobby?
