Pope Francis “Fears” Over Threat Of Nuclear War – Monumental Hypocrisy…

Pope Francis expressed fears on Monday that the world is at the “very limit” of nuclear war.

Reuters reported that he made the remark when aboard a flight for a visit to Chile and Peru.
His statements came following a false ballistic missile alert issued in Hawaii that rattled the United States over the weekend.
Pope Francis did not specifically mention the false alert, but said in response to a question about whether he is worried about the prospect of nuclear conflict, “I think we are at the very limit. I am really afraid of this. One accident is enough to precipitate things.” Read more

Such barefaced, faithless hypocrisy from the Pope who could bring peace to the world, simply by obeying Our Lady’s request for the Consecration of Russia

Given that we are, certainly, in imminent danger of nuclear war, what possible reason can Pope Francis offer for continuing to refuse to conduct the Consecration of Russia, as specified by Our Lady… We know that Our Lady said that the Consecration would be done, but that it would be late, so we know that world peace will come for that promised period of time.   However, when that time comes, people will not only be perplexed, but angry at the fact that all the worry, all the suffering caused by wars and conflicts the world over since 1929 could have been brought to an end much sooner, but for the negligence of successive popes – especially the one who warns that nuclear war is imminent, hypocritically feigning concern for the suffering to ensue, all the while knowing that he – and he alone in the world – could allow God to use him as an instrument of peace by complying with that part of  the Fatima revelation which requires the consecration of Russia.

Is Pope Francis lacking human intelligence, or divine and Catholic Faith, both – or what?  WHY won’t he consecrate Russia as specified, and bring us that promised period of peace… Why?

    • ICF,

If you read the link to the Fatima Center page on the Consecration in the comment piece above, you will find that Our Lady said, in 1929, in an apparition to Sister Lucia, the eldest of the three Fatima seers, that the Pope was to arrange to have all the bishops of the world join him in consecrating Russia – by name – to her Immaculate Heart.

This is necessary because Russia was the first nation on earth to publicly disown the very existence of God. From that error, others flowed, and as we know the Communist system of Government spread to many other nations so that even today (especially today!) we find ourselves under threat of nuclear war from Communist North Korea. Russia must be specifically named in the consecration – just as every individual baby must be named at Baptism. A general consecration of the world doesn’t do, although the excuse is made that since Russia is in the world, consecrating the world (as did Pope John Paul II) suffices. If that’s the case, why did the bishops of various other nations, including Scotland, consecrate those countries by name?

At various times, different popes did make attempts to consecrate Russia but always, an essential component was omitted. Either Russia wasn’t named specifically (in the world consecrations of Pope John Paul II) or Russia was named but the bishops of the world did not participate (Pope Pius XII). Persistently, the popes have failed to carry out the consecration as specified – in detail – by Our Lady. Indeed, Pope Benedict is on record as saying words to the effect that he is too much of an intellectual to think that such a simple act would result in world peace. Truly, you couldn’t make it up. Pope Benedict more intellectual than Our Lady and, in fact, God, because Our Lady brought this message of Fatima to earth, from God!

I think that’s enough from me for now, but if not yet clear, please say so and I’ll try again or one of the others will improve on my attempt.

      • Compare: my consecration to our Blessed Mother, thats my choice to A Pope consecrating Russia. Doesnt consecration come from the heart of the consecratee. Perhaps i dont understand Consecration in general??

        • ICanFly,

Of course, anyone can choose to consecrate him or herself to Our Lady – many people do that. At the end of baptisms in the SSPX chapels, parents are asked if they would like to consecrate the baby to Our Lady and they go through to stand before her statue, where the parents recite a short (and very beautiful) act of consecration. One beautiful sentence in that prayer asks Our Lady – should the child go astray – to pursue and bring the child back to the Faith (words to that effect).

However, we can consecrate others. Consecration is a setting apart of a person (or place) to belong, in a particular or special way, to God.

For example, I know of a case where a baby was found to be seriously ill only two weeks after birth, and given only days to live. A relative prayed, saying that “as far as lies in my power, I consecrate this child to thee.” Astonishing everyone, the baby recovered and is now married with children. She still has annual hospital visits to keep an eye on her health, but when she learned about that consecration, she was delighted and could trace God’s action in her life despite having not kept “the rules” in her younger life, when – in fact – she went astray for a time. She resolved to have her home and family consecrated to Our Lady, which she has done.

We cannot doubt that since God wills the consecrate of Russia, it can only be a good thing. That’s the lesson of the story of Abraham and Isaac; we must know (not merely “trust” – we must know ) that God is all good and so if He has asked for the Consecration of Russia, there is very good reason for it. We submit our own inferior intellect and will to comply with God’s plan of salvation. If this is true for each one of us, how much more true for Pope Francis at this crucial point in world history.

  1. I Can Fly – all you need to know about Fatima – and the Consecration – can be found here:- http://www.fatima.org and particularly regarding the Consecration, here:- http://www.fatima.org/consecrussia/default.asp
This is not the same as an individual consecrating himself. It is more like a bishop consecrating a church building, for use as a church. He doesn’t get the bricks and mortar to do the consecration – he performs the consecration to set aside that building as being for a special use in the service of God. The Consecration of Russia is perhaps more akin to an exorcism after the desecration of the country by atheistic Communism, and the great evils that took place there. It is also seen as a blessing of that country, from which much good will flow – both for Russia and the whole world.

  2. For those who doubt the power of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – read this story about the Jewish mother of Fr Hermann Cohen, http://papastronsay.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/text-of-letter-prophesied-to-father.html She was saved by her son consecrating his mother to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart – even though there were no visible signs of repentance/conversion on her death bed. This was confirmed by the Cure D’Ars in a miraculous way. It doesn’t, of course, mean that just by reciting a consecration prayer anyone will be saved – indeed it may have been a special grace for Fr Cohen alone – but I’m still going to keep consecrating my non-Catholic family members to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – come what may!

    • Westminster Fly,

That is a beautiful story about Father Hermann’s mother – I had actually read it before years ago, but it touched me greatly just now, reading it again.

Consecrating a soul is most powerful, and you have given me the idea of consecrating my family, as you have done!

It all makes it so urgent for the Pope to consecrate Russia – I just cannot understand him dithering over it for silly, political reasons. I am all the more astounded because I remember him consecrating his pontificate to Our Lady when he was elected! What is going on in his head? Surely every time he thinks of the danger of nuclear war, he remembers that he has the power to bring peace? It is a genuine mystery.

    • WF,

Thank you for that – I know the story of Fr Cohen’s mother from a Cure D’Ars source. I must keep it in mind to use in the newsletter to encourage others to do as you have done and consecrate lapsed family members. Consecration is very powerful, and I don’t think it was for Fr Cohen alone; the clue is in the story where we’re told (as St Gertrude revealed) that God cannot resist those who have real, unfailing confidence in Him, and who are seeking the answer to prayer for His greater glory. If we are praying for the salvation of the souls of our lapsed family members, that cannot but be pleasing to God. We don’t simply want them to be able to receive Holy Communion at the next family religious event 😀

  3. I am not sure if Pope Francis is being hypocritical over this or if he just doesn’t connect the dots. Maybe he doesn’t actually believe that the Russian consecration would prevent nuclear war from breaking out, I am just not sure, any more.

I would hope it he did connect the dots, that he would have enough intelligence, if not faith, to give it a try. What would he have to lose? It could be trailed as a big compliment to Russia.

      • This is true! I think a part of the problem is that the pope and others believe that the consecration has occurred by his predecessors. Of course, we know this to be incorrect because the consecrations were not carried out in accordance with Our Lady’s specifications. Try telling them that. Cloth ears!

  4. The Consecration of Russia would be a supernatural act, and since the supernatural was obscured and demeaned in the Church starting with Vatican II, it’s really not surprising that the Conciliar Popes have failed to perform what Our Lady requested. Their diabolical disorientation has much to do with the loss of the supernatural orientation and mission of the Church, and its replacement with “Ostpolitik,” i.e. a secular, political perspective and mission. It is that alien perspective, and its related fears, that prevents them from doing their supernatural duty.

Interestingly enough, the hierarchy of the Catholic Church, in doing this, has veered directly toward the Orthodox Church, which is subservient to the state. Francis has made it even worse by making himself, and attempting to make the Church, subservient to the UN.

Francis seems to be the culmination of this profane mission, despite the fact that he consecrated his pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima shortly after he was elected. I wonder what he thought he was doing at that point….

    • RCA Victor,

In other words, he’s not consecrating Russia for the same reasons that his immediate predecessors didn’t consecrate Russia – he’s worldly. Lacks the necessary Faith, puts his trust (contrary to Scripture) in princes – i.e. in politicians and their short-term, shallow solutions.

The more I listen to political commentators, the more I feel disgust at the whole political scam. People desperate to better themselves in this world, with little or no thought of the next, are easily fooled by the smooth talking politicians who, in turn, are pushing at the open door of the overwhelming naiveté, if not stupidity, of the general public.

Do I sound bitter and angry? I expect you understand, and often feel the same way. If so, here’s some great advice…

  5. I hope this is okay to post here, but I think it’s more evidence that Pope Francis is a hypocrite. This story of how he is gradually making homosexuality acceptable in the Church is frightening.
    https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/more-proof-that-francis-pontificate-has-been-hijacked-by-the-gay-lobby?utm_source=LifeSiteNews.com&utm_campaign=1506f9741e-Catholic_1_16_2018&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_12387f0e3e-1506f9741e-403774537

I’ll move it to another thread if it’s in the wrong place here.

  6. Editor,

If you have any clout with Catholic Family News, I suggest you use it immediately, because they have now signed on Hilary White as one of their writers. She has a typically long-winded, and typically very sarcastic article about one of Francis’ alleged next moves, an attack on the “Just War” teaching of the Church. I will not post the link, but it does fit into this topic.

I am writing them a note as we speak….here’s the contact page: https://www.catholicfamilynews.org/contact

    • RCA Victor,

thank you for that alert – disappointing to learn that CFN is now employing Hilary White to write for them, remembering the hassle we had having to rectify one of her inaccurate quotes, some time ago. I’ve never quoted her since, nor have I read any of her articles.

I’ve now dropped a line to CFN – not that I have any clout, but decided to register my concerns in any case.

      • RCA Victor,

I’ve had a very nice reply from CFN, and I’m in no doubt that there will be thought given to the information passed to them, since they set a lot of store by accuracy, careful research etc.

  7. Am I alone in thinking that this – the “impromptu” wedding, conducted by Pope Francis (on a plane, of course) is inappropriate, to say the least?

    https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/wing-and-a-prayer-pope-marries-couple-on-plane-over-chile/ar-AAuQYJP?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartanntp

Clearly (and I know this will sound daft in the light of Amoris Laetitia) Pope Francis sets no importance to marriage preparation, or whether or not the couple genuinely wish to contract a truly Catholic marriage or whether a catchy headline, such as Wing &; Prayer: pope marries couple over Chile will do just as well, thank you very much. Shocking.

And as an aside, am I alone in noticing that, for someone who is forever bleating about the need to care for the environment blah blah, Papa Francis seems to spend an inordinate amount of time flying around in planes?

    • I’m stunned at that report! I would be stunned if any priest did that, but the Pope?! My goodness, he’s a real nutter. God forgive me.

It would be laughable if in the future, at some point, these two go for an annulment and are granted one on the grounds that this was an “impromptu” wedding and the pope didn’t exercise due diligence! LOL! Only it’s no laughing matter, seriously.

      • Just seen this again on the news and this time they quoted the “vows” – something like, “is there love in this marriage, will you stay together forever” – I was completely stunned. If this was an ordinary priest, people would be writing to the Vatican to complain, LOL!

  8. It seems Pope Francis’ visit to Chile is going very poorly.

He has been struck by a thrown newspaper as he was waving from the Pope-mobile. I daresay the culprit is someone dissatisfied with his performance as Pope. This article has a video:

    http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2018/01/17/pope-francis-pelted-by-newspaper-during-chile-visit/

Although some have joked that they wished the missile had been a rotten tomato or an egg, the occurrence is concerning from a security point of view. If a newspaper can be thrown into his vehicle, so could a grenade.

Additionally, his public mass seems to have drawn a very poor congregation – see the picture in this link (warning: the linked blogger is very blunt with his criticisms).

    https://mundabor.wordpress.com/2018/01/19/chile-francis-epic-fail/

And Chileans have rated him at just 5.3 out of 10, which is the lowest approval he has received in latin American.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-42695533

I cant help but think that if we had a more orthodox, conservative Pope, these news items would have a much higher profile.

    • Come to think of it, I would not be surprised if the airborne marriage stunt (and it was a stunt) was an effort to grab headlines prior to the visit getting underway proper.

They knew it was not going to go well in advance, with Cardinal Parolin saying the visit “would not be easy”.

    • Gabriel Syme,

That’s all very interesting indeed. I doubt, though, if it will make the Pope think twice; according to the BBC report, he expected this visit to be difficult.

The very same thought about the stunt wedding crossed my mind as well, would you believe. A case of “great minds thinking alike” (and not “fools seldom differ”, on hopes!)

      • Editor,

I have since learned that the sparsely attended mass was in fact specifically aimed at young people.

Apparently he wanted to ask them to “be faithful to the Gospel” – which is ironic given his own infidelity!

    • Editor,

There’s no way that can be a valid marriage, surely. I would be amazed to find differently. For one thing, they were already living in an adulterous relationship and there’s no mention of them using the pope as confessor, so that alone, surely, would invalid this stunt wedding?

      • Michaela,

I agree. That was a scandalous thing for the pope to do, belittling the importance of marriage with that “impromptu” wedding on a plane. He just gets worse and worse, with every passing day.

      • I wonder if, in his diseased mind, he saw it as a good opportunity to demonstrate how Amoris Laetitia works. Well, he demonstrated it, all right!

        • RCA Victor,

I don’t actually think he would think like that at all. I think he is such a narcissist that he just wants to please whoever is in front of him at the moment and the case of the couple asking for his blessing on their union, not a sacramental marriage, was just too good to pass up, IMHO.

I wish somebody would offer him a part in a film playing himself in Hollywood and I am sure he’d be gone in a jiffy! LOL!

          • He’s definitely a narcissist, there can be no doubt about that.

To conduct such an impromptu wedding ceremony on a plane in that way, is disgusting self-promotion.

I hope the press keep in touch with that couple to see how long they remain married (if they’re married at all!)

My personal feeling is, the press won’t have long to wait for another storyline on their marriage.

  9. Sister Lucia said “Tell them, Father, that many times the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta, as well as myself, that many nations will disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation.” http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5299741/Putin-clear-present-danger-Britain.html

    • Westminster Fly,

That is one very frightening report. This one sub-headline in particular is really terrifying – “Kremlin a ‘clear and present danger’ and predicted a conflict would start with something we did not expect.”

It never struck me before that Russia could be using Syria to test her weaponry. I think the sooner Pope Francis consecrates Russia, the better.
