Irish Eyes Are Surely Smiling Now!

The Catholics of Ireland are invited to gather, on November 26, 2017, on the shores of the Island to recite the holy rosary, for the preservation of the Catholic faith and the life of the unborn child, in a political context where abortion could be legalized in 2018.

The generous response of the Irish, attached to the faith of their ancestors, was not long in coming: in a few days, more than a hundred meeting points had to be planned to allow the smooth running of this religious event.

Thus, after Poland and Italy, which saw millions of Catholics gather at the borders to recite the rosary, it is now Ireland’s turn to erect a living rampart of rosaries on November 26, 2017.

For its part, the Irish District of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X joins this initiative and plans to organize four assembly points in the country.

The recitation of the rosary will begin at 14:30 on November 26, with the main purpose of preserving the faith and the fight against abortion. In 2018, indeed, the Irish will be called to the polls to decide whether or not they wish to amend Article 8 of their Constitution which protects the life of the unborn child.  Source

Comment:

The speedy and generous response of the Irish to the invitation to pray the rosary around the country in defence of the Faith and the unborn child, gives us great hope for this once deeply Catholic land.  So, to those of you who are free to join the Irish at any of the meeting points, we say, please do! Here are the contact details for the Irish District of the SSPX, for anyone seeking to make enquiries.  I presume the linked details are up to date.

  1. I think it’s fantastic that the Irish are organising this coast to coast rosary – I hope there is a huge turnout. I would dearly love to be present but there’s just no way I can go over at such short notice.

I love that hymn to Our Lady of Knock – it’s just beautiful!

  2. Here is the main website: coastalrosaryireland.ie

The SSPX was turned away from Knock this year so I guess that that won’t be one of their four assembly points. 😦

For those who are interested, His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke will be in Ireland on that day. He will be celebrating a pontifical Mass in the Sacred Heart church, Limerick, and there is a Rosary on the Coast location within walking distance. I live near Knock (which _is_ one of the assembly points) but I’m hoping to be able to travel to Limerick to combine the two events there.

    • Thank you, Sarah, especially for posting the main website link. That’s very helpful.

I hope you will give us a first-hand report here, after the event.

      In anticipation…. thank you!

        • Sarah,

Please do! I think this is a wonderful initiative and I am looking forward to reading all about it!

          • Fidelis, we decided not to do the long haul down to Limerick because of the weather. I was thinking; you will probably be able to view the event live in a few places if you want. Places like Knock basilica usually have a live feed of their Masses, and so on, on YouTube. See here for Knock’s: http://www.knockshrine.ie/watch/
The Rosary event starts at 2:30 GMT today.

  3. It remains to be seen just how much Faith is left in that once holy land. The fall of Ireland is nothing short of tragic and it seemed to happen so suddenly. I pray that this rosary event will be a success and I will join in from afar.

    • Crofterlady,

All of these diabolical events have happened suddenly. The loss of Catholic faith in Ireland, “gay marriage”, transgenderism, you name it. That’s why we know these turn-arounds are diabolical. Diabolical disorientation writ large.

  4. Those faithful Catholics who participate should be prepared for a smear campaign, orchestrated by the NWO media, condemning them as racists, xenophobes, fascists, homophobes, or what-have-you, similar to what is being flung at Poland after their wonderful march: https://torontocatholicwitness.blogspot.ca/2017/11/poland-catholic-and-free-must-be.html

and the Polish government’s reaction to this:

  5. Why not gather followers from Scotland (and abroad) to go to Edinburgh when the SNP is proposing legislation to promote death or destroy the family and pray while the debate is going on.

    • Charles,

Why not? Because we’d be lucky to get half a dozen and please don’t quote “where two or three are gathered…” True, but there are plenty of Catholics in Edinburgh – let them do some organising when such debates are scheduled. We’re struggling to keep up with it all!

  6. This is great news about Ireland. I believe it will bring great graces to those who are organising the event and to Ireland itself, without a doubt.

The hymn is gorgeous. I’ve heard it here before, St Patrick’s Day, I think, whatever, it’s beautiful.

  7. While you are considering this good news from Ireland perhaps you can also consider the advances of Satan made in Australia. We had a postal vote on Same Sex Marriage. The result was 60% in favour and the postal vote received almost 90% of those entitled to vote. The big issue now is religious freedom and the whole world is aware of just what implications the passing of a new marriage act allowing SSM will mean for those who want to exclude their children from being taught about transgenderism in the schools and for those who do not wish to bake cakes for such marriages and for anyone who wishes to disagree with the general destruction of the family which is taking place. We have been promised laws ensuring religious freedom along with the passage of this SSM marriage legislation. However, the signs are that this religious freedom is not going to happen.
A few prayers for Australia as a whole would be much appreciated by me and I’m sure that I am not alone in wanting these prayers to happen!

    • John R,

You have our sincere sympathy at this very difficult time, with the LGBT conquering of yet another continent. God help Australia.

Be assured of our prayers – and remember: “God will not be mocked… [we] reap what [we] sow…”

In other words – it will all come right in time! Order and peace will be restored!
